  • Patent number: 10649013
Abstract: A frequency converter receives a predetermined input signal and a predetermined local oscillation signal, and outputs a signal obtained by mixing the input signal with a harmonic signal having a frequency n times the frequency of the local oscillation signal, wherein a circuit that mixes the input signal with the harmonic signal is a harmonic mixer, which mixes the harmonic signal with the input signal using a nonlinear characteristic of a semiconductor element, and wherein the input signal or the output signal is subjected, either before input to the frequency converter or after output from the frequency converter, to correction on the basis of the amplitude and phase frequency characteristics of the frequency converter, which have been determined in advance.

  • Patent number: 9400316
Abstract: An electric current-spin current conversion device according to the invention performs conversion between electric current and spin current utilizing the spin Hall effect or the inverse spin Hall effect of a 5d transition metal. A spin accumulation apparatus according to the invention includes a non-magnetic body in which injected spins are accumulated and an injection unit that injects spins into the non-magnetic body, wherein said injection unit comprises said electric current-spin current conversion device provided on said non-magnetic body, and an electric power source that supplies an electric current to said electric current-spin current conversion device in such a way that a spin current flowing toward said non-magnetic body is generated by the spin Hall effect.

  • Patent number: 4346356
Abstract: A circuit breaker having a larger separation distance between a stationary contact 4 and a movable contact 6 in the automatic mode than in the manual mode. The pivot shaft 24 of a crank 13 is placed in a higher position than in a conventional circuit breaker, to thereby enable the arm 7 carrying the movable contact 6 to rotate through a greater angle. A stop plate 26 is provided to prevent the flex angle .theta. formed between a first link 11 and a second link 12 of a toggle mechanism 10 from becoming too small when the contacts are opened, which enables easy manual closure with the normal stroke of a switch handle 16 and avoids the need for a stronger spring 17.
