  • Patent number: 5244577
Abstract: A process for preparing an osteogenesis promoting substance, which comprises extracting a demineralized bone powder with a solution of chaotorpic reagent, subjecting the extracted solution to ultrafiltration to collect a fraction containing substances ranging from 1,000 to 100,000 daltons as molecular weight, dialyzing the collected fraction and collecting the water-insoluble fraction from the dialyzing liquid. The osteogenesis promoting substance prepared by the present invention is useful as a bone repairing agent and a bone grafting agent.
