  • Patent number: 8169310
Abstract: In a method in which vehicle-mounted devices on vehicles read configuration data set on a computer using a memory card, when the computer is installed remotely from the vehicles, it is inefficient to have to go back and forth between the vehicles and the place where the computer is installed every time the configuration is changed.

  • Publication number: 20110077819
Abstract: A data management device manages data recorded by a drive recorder mounted in each of a plurality of vehicles. The drive recorder records operation data which represents a traveling situation of the vehicle and which does not include images and sounds and a plurality of kinds of contents data which includes at least one of images and sounds in one portable recording medium. A receiving unit receives a user setting regarding reading/non-reading of the contents data for each of the plurality of kinds. A storage device integrates and stores data obtained by the drive recorder of each of the plurality of vehicles. A reading unit reads the operation data and the contents data of a kind that is set for reading by the user setting among the plurality of kinds, among contents recorded in the recording medium by the drive recorder of the vehicle after completion of operation of each of the plurality of vehicles and records the operation data and the contents data in the storage device.

  • Publication number: 20110078802
Abstract: A display device displays data recorded in a portable recording medium by a drive recorder on a display unit. A code recording unit records a security code in the recording medium in which data is recorded by the drive recorder. A nonvolatile storage device stores a security code which is the same as the security code for use at the time of recording in the recording medium. A code acquisition unit acquires the security code from recorded contents of the recording medium in which the data is recorded by the drive recorder. A code authentication unit enables the display unit to display the data recorded in the recording medium when the security code acquired from the recording medium coincides with the security code stored in the storage device.

  • Publication number: 20100194887
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a method for displaying vehicle driving conditions wherein provisions are made to identify, when playing back video information acquired by a drive recorder showing the actual field of vision of a driver, thereby making it possible to investigate, for example, how an accident or the like has occurred. More particularly, the invention provides a method for displaying vehicle driving conditions, including the steps of acquiring vehicle speed information and video information captured by a vehicle-mounted image capturing device, obtaining a field of vision angle based on the speed information, and displaying the video information along with a field of vision corresponding to the field of vision angle.
