The priority scores of the individual entities are stored in the EDM database in association with the priority rules, and the EDM module matches the entity records to entities based, at least in part, on the priority scores of the individual entities.

A matching process can then be performed to accurately match similar records regardless of manual input, location, and format of the records in a distributed system.
