Patent number: 9726725Abstract: A power circuit abnormality detection method for a power circuit detects whether an abnormality in a power source relay exists. The power circuit includes a pre-charge circuit opening and closing a connection between a direct current power source and a smoothing condenser by bypassing the power source relay to pre-charge the smoothing condenser, and a discharge circuit connected in parallel to the smoothing condenser to discharge electric charges stored in the smoothing condenser via a discharge resistance when a discharge switch is closed. The power circuit abnormality detection method includes a step of detecting whether the open contact abnormality in the power source relay exists based on whether a charge voltage of the smoothing condenser is reduced when a predetermined period of time has elapsed since both the discharge circuit and the power source relay are closed after the pre-charge circuit is opened.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2014Date of Patent: August 8, 2017Assignee: JTEKT CORPORATIONInventors: Mayuko Wakida, Yuta Iwai, Hiroshi Sumasu, Kohji Kimura

Patent number: 8161051Abstract: In a database management apparatus for managing a database where an index is used in a search for data, the data is stored in a table that has attributes of the data as columns. The index is created in association with at least one column. The columns include an index key column for which the index is created without data being stored. Upon reception of a request to register the data in the table including the index key column, the data in columns other than the index key column is registered. An index of the index key column is updated using data corresponding to the index key column.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2009Date of Patent: April 17, 2012Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Kenichi Kaku, Norihiro Hara, Kohji Kimura

Patent number: 8073823Abstract: A database management method for updating data of a duplicated ID sequential arrangement table and arranging segments of data with respect to the arrangement table includes managing a management table holding the arrangement table name and a name of a duplicated key column, arranging a new row in an empty space in a first partial set of segments of rows having identical values in the duplicated key column to that of the new row, searching for a sequential empty space having capacity larger than that needed to hold the first partial set of segments of rows, and moving the first partial set of segments of rows to the sequential empty space and arranging the new row in a different set of segments if the sequential empty space is found or arranging the new row in a new segment if the sequential empty space is not found.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2005Date of Patent: December 6, 2011Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Daisuke Ito, Masaaki Tanizaki, Kohji Kimura

Patent number: 7668817Abstract: A method for processing data performed in a data processing system having a storage unit is provided which includes: creating a spatial index comprising a leaf containing location information and attribute information with respect to a plurality of objects to be searched, and storing the spatial index in the storage unit; and referring to the spatial index stored in the storage unit in response to an input of a search request including location information and attribute information for searching the object to be searched, and extracting the object to be searched that agrees with the search request. With this configuration, a spatial search with subsidiary condition search can be processed at high speed, without merging results of both searches.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 2007Date of Patent: February 23, 2010Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Software Engineering Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masaki Enomoto, Masaaki Tanizaki, Yoshitaka Atarashi, Kohji Kimura

Publication number: 20080281791Abstract: A database management program in which even in a case where a row having a value of a column A duplicated is arranged in sequential space as an initial state for speeding-up a search with a condition of the column A, even if insertion, deletion and update of a row are repeated, a time required for the search with condition of the column A is not lengthen, and rearrangement requiring a long time in a case of solving this problem using a conventional method is not required. In the database management program, when managing a single or a plurality of sets of rows having values of the column A duplicated using relational database, in a case where the row having the value of the column A duplicated is arranged in the sequential space as the initial state for speeding-up the search with the condition of the column A, only the set of rows having the value of the column A duplicated is arranged in the sequential spaces when insertion, deletion and update of a row are performed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2005Publication date: November 13, 2008Inventors: Daisuke Ito, Masaaki Tanizaki, Kohji Kimura

Patent number: 4470928Abstract: Caprolactam can be produced with an economical advantage without formation of by-products in a high yield by subjecting adipic acid and adiponitrile to interchange reaction at an elevated temperature, adding an alcohol directly to the interchange reaction mixture without isolating the resulting cyanovaleric acid to esterify the cyanovaleric acid with said alcohol into a cyanovaleric ester, reducing the cyanovaleric ester with a catalyst into an aminocaproic ester, heating the aminocaproic ester in a polyhydric alcohol having a higher boiling point than that of caprolactam to convert the ester into caprolactam, isolating the caprolactam by distillation and recycling the liquid distillation residue to the system for heating said polyhydric alcohol and said aminocaproic ester.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 1982Date of Patent: September 11, 1984Assignee: Asahi Kasei Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kohji Kimura, Toshiro Isoya
