  • Patent number: 9544616
Abstract: A video transmission apparatus includes a camera controller that obtains camera movement amount data indicating a direction and an amount of movement of a camera, and an image encoder that performs motion compensation on image data received from the camera and determines an image search range for the motion compensation based on the camera movement amount data. The image encoder adjusts a motion vector indicated by the camera movement amount data for each coordinate position in the image data based on a lens characteristic of the camera, and determines the image search range for the motion compensation based on the adjusted motion vector for each coordinate position.

  • Patent number: 9456180
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes: a writing controlling unit that writes image information of an input image to a memory; a detecting unit that detects one of a plurality of blocks into which the input image is divided, the one being a block for which writing of corresponding image information to the memory is completed; and a correcting unit that performs a process of correcting a distortion occurring in the input image, for each block in order in which the blocks are detected by the detecting unit.

  • Patent number: 9253411
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a region clipping unit configured to clip an interest image of a region of interest from a captured image captured by an image capturing unit using a wide-angle lens, a distortion correcting unit configured to correct distortion, which is caused by image capture using the wide-angle lens, of the interest image by transforming coordinate data from captured image space to corrected image space, an image-capture control unit configured to control the image capturing unit so as to perform image capture at a zoom ratio, which makes number of coordinate data sets per unit area of the interest image equal to or larger than a predetermined value, of the wide-angle lens, and a distortion-correction control unit configured to control the distortion correcting unit so as to correct the distortion of the interest image captured at the zoom ratio.

  • Patent number: 9247150
Abstract: An image capturing apparatus includes an image capturing module and a controller that controls exposure of the image capturing module by dividing a captured image by the image capturing module into a plurality of image areas, weighting brightness of a predetermined pixel in each of the image areas, and being based on the weighted brightness of the predetermined pixel in each image area. The controller performs a weighting correction process that increases weighting to the brightness of the predetermined pixel in each image area when the size of the image area after a correction process in which distortion aberration of the captured image is corrected is larger than the size of the before-corrected image area, and decreases the weighting to the brightness of the predetermined pixel in each image area when the size of the after-corrected image area is smaller than the size of the before-corrected image area.
