  • Publication number: 20070230428
Abstract: A communication apparatus that enhances throughput even in a multi-cell environment without limiting a frequency band which can be used in each cell. A classification section divides terminals in a cell into classes. A channel information receiving section receives channel information according to a plurality of frequency bands from each terminal. A scheduling section assigns the plurality of frequency bands the number of which is determined according to the classes to the terminals in descending order of priority of class on the basis of the channel information received by the channel information receiving section.

  • Publication number: 20060198472
Abstract: A transmission system which is simple in construction and yet can effectively avoid inter-symbol interference. A transmitter device transmits a signal block while repeating the same signal block twice consecutively. A receiver device receives the signal blocks, performs Fourier transform operation on the two identical signal blocks at respective predetermined timings, matches the phases of the two signal blocks with each other by waveform equalization in frequency domain, combines the signal blocks, and demodulates the combined signal block. With the transmission system, various propagation path conditions, in particular, changes in delay time can be flexibly coped with by just appropriately setting the Fourier transform operation timing, whereby inter-symbol interference can be avoided more effectively than in the case of using fixed-length GI.

  • Publication number: 20050008026
Abstract: Disclosed is a packet receiving apparatus in a communication system for transmitting a packet signal upon changing over a parameter of a transmit signal in accordance with conditions of a propagation path, and, when the packet signal cannot be received correctly on a receiving side, retransmitting the packet signal, combining the packet data received previously and the retransmitted packet data and executing decode processing based upon the combined packet data. The receiving apparatus is such that if the propagation path conditions at the time of retransmission are inferior, part of the packet data extracted from a buffer is cut out and combined with a retransmission packet and decode processing is executed based upon the result of combining.

  • Patent number: 6385183
Abstract: According to a power control system for a CDMA mobile radio communication network, powers at which downlink pilot signals are transmitted from base stations are controlled so that the numbers of mobile stations managed by the respective base stations will be in a predetermined range. In addition, powers at which uplink signals are transmitted from the mobile stations are controlled so that communication qualities related to the uplink signals received by the base stations will converge on a predetermined threshold value. On the basis of the above-mentioned principle, the designing of cells in the CDMA mobile radio communication network is implemented.

  • Patent number: 5455967
Abstract: A received power preset value is varied in such a manner that SIR measured at the base station comes to coincide with the target value SIRt. By varying the received power preset value, a cell zone of the base station varies so that the number of mobile stations connected with the base station increases or decreases thereby SIR at each base station approximating with each other. As a result, deviation of communication quality is restricted so that efficiency of the system can be improved.
