  • Patent number: 7531386
Abstract: There is provided a semiconductor package including: a substrate having a plurality of electrode pads on a surface thereof; a semiconductor chip mounted on the substrate, the semiconductor chip electrically connecting with the plurality of electrode pads; and a stiffener arranged on the substrate so as to surround the semiconductor chip. The stiffener includes: an insulating material layer; and a rigid plate mounted substantially parallel to a surface of the substrate in the insulating material layer, the rigid plate having formed therein a plurality of through holes, at least a part of the through holes being filled with the insulating material.

  • Publication number: 20080166236
Abstract: A fan includes a rotatable center member that is centered relative to an axis of rotation of the fan. The fan includes a number of blades radially extending from the rotatable center member. Each blade may have one or more ribs extending therefrom non-parallel to the axis of rotation of the fan. Each blade may be may be flat in shape, except for the ribs extending therefrom, or it may have a cycloidal curvature that curves away from the direction in which the rotatable center member rotates. In addition to or in lieu of the ribs, each blade may have a side profile that is non-linear. The side profile may be a zigzag or a curvy shape. The side profile may have one or more notches pointed in a direction opposite that in which the rotatable center member rotates, or may have one or more holes extending through the blade.

  • Patent number: 6885369
Abstract: A method for evaluating the quality of an image, for extracting a luminance gradient displayed on a display device and for evaluating local luminance unevenness caused therein. The method includes the steps of: subdividing the image to be used as an evaluation object into a plurality of pixels; acquiring a first luminance information by calculating the difference between the sum of luminance values of predetermined pixels and the luminance value of a predetermined pixel, the predetermined pixels forming a first pixel group surrounding the predetermined pixel; acquiring a second luminance information by calculating the difference between the sum of luminance values of predetermined pixels and the luminance value of the predetermined pixel, the predetermined pixels constituting a second pixel group; acquiring a third luminance information by adding the first luminance information and the second luminance information; and evaluating the luminance of a screen photographed based on the third luminance information.
