Publication number: 20230192012Abstract: A vehicle upper structure reduces noise in a cabin by preventing vibration of a roof panel while avoiding an increase in manufacturing cost and an increase in vehicle weight. A vehicle includes a roof panel, a front header, a ceiling, and a vibration damping member. The front header extends in a vehicle width direction on an inner side of the cabin from the roof panel. The ceiling covers the roof panel from the inner side of the cabin. The vibration damping member is fixed to an upper surface of the ceiling. The vibration damping member is arranged between a sun visor fixed portion and a gusset fixed portion in the vehicle width direction and near the front header. The vibration damping member has at least two resonance frequencies and is configured such that one resonance frequency thereof is substantially the same as a resonance frequency of the ceiling.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 22, 2022Publication date: June 22, 2023Applicant: MAZDA MOTOR CORPORATIONInventors: Miho KURATA, Sakayu TERADA, Daisuke YAMADA, Kohya NAKAGAWA, Akinori UTSUNOMIYA, Koki YAMASHITA, Kenji MATSUMOTO
