    Abstract: A process cartridge includes an image holding body assembly that includes an image holding body, a developing assembly that includes a developer holding body, an urging member, a contacting and separating mechanism, and a gap forming mechanism. The image holding body assembly is inserted into and pulled from an assembly receiving portion. The urging member urges the developing assembly so that the developer holding body is pressed against the image holding body. The contacting and separating mechanism is disposed on the front side and operated to separate the image holding body assembly and the developing assembly from each other against an urging force. The gap forming mechanism forms a gap between the image holding body and the developer holding body on the rear side against the urging force. The size of the gap is larger than that existing before the image holding body assembly is pulled.

When the image-forming apparatus is provided with a belt running adjusting mechanism 20 which adjusts the running state of the endless belt 21 by displacing one (drive roll 22) of plural rolls supporting the belt 21 in the adjusting directions J, K, there is provided a tension correction mechanism 60 which corrects a change in the tension of the endless belt 21 that is caused by the operation of the belt running adjusting mechanism 20 for displacing the roll 22, by displacing, in the correction directions L, M, a contact member (tension roll 25) which is in contact with the belt 21 along the direction of width thereof.

    Abstract: A print cartridge having: a housing; an image bearing member rotatably supported on the housing; and a power transmit member for connecting the image bearing member to a drive shaft of metal projected from a body of an apparatus. The print cartridge is withdrawable from the apparatus body. The image bearing member includes a cylindrical drum and a flange fixedly mounted on one end of the drum; the flange having a metal portion provided at a central portion thereof, and a resin portion provided around the metal portion. The metal portion has at an axis of rotation of the flange a shaft support portion for rotatably supporting the drive shaft. The metal portion has a first fitting portion provided on one side thereof directed toward the power transmit member. The power transmit member has a second fitting portion provided on one side thereof directed toward the flange. The first fitting portion and the second fitting portion are fitted together in the direction of rotation of the image bearing member.
