  • Patent number: 9449518
Abstract: A display control device includes a determiner and a display controller. The determiner determines a recognition accuracy based on a result of a calculator. Based on a result of the determiner, the display controller controls a displayer so as to generate an image that shows a first or second graphic in which a region indicating the direction in which a predetermined object exists is displayed in a mode different from that of another region and so as to display the image on a display medium. The first graphic is generated when it is determined that the recognition accuracy is a first recognition accuracy. The second graphic is generated when it is determined that the recognition accuracy is a second recognition accuracy lower than the first recognition accuracy. A first width of the region in the first graphic is smaller than a second width of the region in the second graphic.

  • Patent number: 9451293
Abstract: A decoding method and apparatus are provided for decoding an audiovisual stream that is divided into a plurality of segments. The decoding method and apparatus obtain metadata that specify a segment out of the plurality of segments. The metadata is described in a structured description. The segment that is specified by the metadata is obtained, and a start time for rendering the segment from the metadata is derived. The segment is decoded based on the metadata to generate decoded segment data before the start time.

  • Patent number: 9418548
Abstract: A display control device includes a controller that, if an obtainer obtains first-segment speed limit information, controls a displayer so that it creates a first predetermined image, indicating a first-segment speed limit, and displays the first predetermined image on a display medium, and includes a determiner that, if second-segment length information is obtained after the first-segment speed limit information has been obtained, determines whether the second-segment length is shorter than a threshold. The controller makes a switchover from control under which the displayer creates the first predetermined image and displays it on the display medium to control under which the displayer creates a second predetermined image, indicating a second-segment speed limit, and displays the second predetermined image on the display medium in different control ways depending on whether the second-segment length is shorter than the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20150362730
Abstract: A display control apparatus includes: an input unit that receives state information indicating at least one of a state of a moving object, a state of inside of the moving object, and a state of outside of the moving object; and a controller that controls a displayer, which generates a predetermined image and outputs the predetermined image onto a display medium, based on the state information. The predetermined image shows a presentation image including text, when displayed on the display medium. The controller causes the displayer to generate a first predetermined image showing a first presentation image including first text corresponding to a predetermined event, determines whether the at least one state has made a predetermined change, based on the state information, and causes the displayer to generate a second predetermined image showing a second presentation image including second text corresponding to the predetermined event.

  • Patent number: 9204050
Abstract: An information displaying apparatus is capable of providing an easy-to-see display of information that the user wants to know out of information related to objects seen in a captured real-world image. The information displaying apparatus comprises an image input unit for inputting a captured real-world image. A distance acquiring unit acquires the distance between an object seen in the input captured real-world image and a view point of the captured real-world image. An object superimposing unit outputs an image in which information related to the object is superimposed on the captured real-world image. An information output control unit controls the information output by the object superimposing unit. The information output control unit decides, in accordance with the acquired distance, how to present the information outputted by the object superimposing unit.

  • Publication number: 20150325125
Abstract: A display control device causes a display unit to generate a first predetermined image representing a first presentation image that indicates a first speed limit. Change in a speed limit of a road where a vehicle travels from a first speed limit to a second speed limit different from the first speed limit is recognized. When the recognized change in the speed limit indicates decrease, the first predetermined image is switched by a first switching method so that a second predetermined image representing a second presentation image that indicates the second speed limit is generated. When the recognized change in the speed limit indicates increase, the first predetermined image is switched by a second switching method different from the first switching method so that the second predetermined image is generated.

  • Publication number: 20150294570
Abstract: A display control device includes a unit for determining whether an object recognized by a recognition unit is present in a specific region adjacent to a locus, and a control unit controlling a display source, upon determination that the object is present in the specific region, to generate a first virtual image at first timing and a second virtual image at second timing later than the first timing. The first virtual image is displayed in a first region midway in a locus approaching direction toward a locus on a display medium, which corresponds to the locus, from a position thereon corresponding to an object position. The second imaginary region is displayed in a second region, located midway in the locus approaching direction closer to the locus than the first region, in size not smaller than that of the first virtual image displayed in the first region at the second timing.

  • Publication number: 20150251600
Abstract: A display control device includes an obtainer and a controller. The obtainer obtains a detection accuracy of an object that exists in surroundings of a movable body. When the obtainer obtains a first detection accuracy, the controller controls an image generator so as to generate a first predetermined image that shows a first graphic having a predetermined shape and divided into n regions (n is an integer greater than or equal to 2). When the obtainer obtains a second detection accuracy that is lower than the first detection accuracy, the controller controls the image generator so as to generate a second predetermined image that shows a second graphic having a predetermined shape and undivided or divided into m regions (m is an integer that is greater than or equal to 2 and that is smaller than n).

  • Publication number: 20150097866
Abstract: In a display control apparatus configured to control image data displayed on a predetermined display medium, an information acquisition unit acquires a first information associated with the predetermined matter at a first time and acquire a second information associated with the predetermined matter at a second time after the first time. A determination unit judges whether there is a predetermined change between the first information and the second information. A control unit controls the image data such that in a case where a predetermined change is detected, at least one of parameters including a location, a size, and a shape of a restricted area, in which the displaying of display information including in the image data is limited, is changed so as to achieve the parameter defined in relation to the second information.

  • Patent number: 8832762
Abstract: Information provisioning includes acquiring a plurality of audio and video elementary streams of which content is composed, and metadata related to the content comprising a plurality of segments. The metadata is divided into metadata processing units, wherein a metadata processing unit (MPU) indicates a unit of the metadata and corresponds to a segment of the content, the MPU and the segment are configured to be processed for partial execution of the metadata in synchronization with the segment of the content. A transport stream of a MPEG-2 system is generated by multiplexing an audio packetized elementary stream (PES), a video PES, and a metadata PES. The audio PES and the video PES are acquired by packetizing the plurality of audio and video elementary streams. The metadata PES is acquired by packetizing the metadata processing units.
