  • Patent number: 8392939
Abstract: A system for estimating audience state using the video signal relative to an imaged audience and audio signal according to voices from the audience generated in an input unit. A characteristic amount detection unit detects information on a movement amount, movement periodicity, a volume, voice periodicity of the audience, and a frequency component of voices from the audience based on the video signal or the audio signal. An estimation unit estimates an audience state based on the detected result. An output unit outputs the estimated result of the audience state. The audience state can be easily estimated without observing the audience state by a person.

  • Patent number: 8340350
Abstract: An information processing device for tracking the image of a tracking point within a moving image wherein contents, of multiple images which are continuous temporally, are discontinuous temporally, includes: a block-matching unit for performing block matching within the moving image, wherein a processed image and an image prior to the processed image are compared to determine the position of the tracking point within the processed image; an interpolation unit for performing interpolation processing wherein the position of the tracking point within an image not subjected to the block matching, which is an image before or after the processed image within the moving image, is determined as the position of the tracking point within the processed image; and a motion-vector calculating unit for obtaining the motion vector of the tracking point based on the position of the tracking point within the processed image determined by the block-matching unit or interpolation unit.

  • Patent number: 7756675
Abstract: In a communication system having at least three communication devices communicating with each other, a seating-order determination device for generating seating-order information for information sent from each communication device and for transmitting the seating-order information to each communication device is provided. Each communication device controls the output position of each information according to the seating-order information to output the information sent from the other communication devices in a seating order corresponding to the seating-order information. The seating order is always automatically changed to the most appropriate condition according to the progress of a conference and the state of conversations to provide the user with a comfortable conference environment and a comfortable communication environment.

  • Patent number: 7440029
Abstract: Converting circuits convert the values of multiple items of SD pixel data (pixel value) as class tap data to luminance values. The converting circuits convert pixel values to luminance values based on a correspondence relation between a value of pixel data in an image display device and a luminance value. Class-detecting circuits detect a space class and a motion class based on plural luminance values. Class-synthesizing circuit acquires a class code indicating the class to which the pixel data of a target position in an HD signal belongs. Estimation/prediction-operating circuit obtains items of pixel data of the target position in the HD signal based on an estimation equation using data of an prediction tap and coefficient data of the class indicated by the class code. Consequently, appropriate classification of class to the luminance characteristic of a display device is performed.
