  • Publication number: 20110000450
Abstract: Objects The invention provides a phase changing device for automobile engine capable of preventing an unanticipated change in phase angle between the middle rotor and the camshaft of the device caused by a disturbing torque while preventing frictional wear of the inner circumferential walls of groove guides and avoiding generation of axial thrusts of links of the device. Means for Solving the Problems A phase changing device for automobile engine, having a drive rotor, an middle rotor, and a control rotor, all arranged to rotate about a common rotational axis, the device controlling the control rotor so as to vary the relative phase angle between the drive rotor and middle rotor.

  • Patent number: 5572678
Abstract: Data communication method and system for transmitting a large amount of data via a network such as LAN to which a plurality of stations or terminals are connected, through a simplified processing procedure with high reliability and high efficiency while suppressing influence to other communications. The large amount of data is transmitted from a sender station to a plurality of receiver stations by utilizing a connectionless communication service, while inter-station reception acknowledging/retransmitting processings are performed by using a connection-oriented communication service. The large amount of data to be transmitted is divided into a plurality of blocks, and inter-block delay time is set on the basis of station status factors such as a permissible load increase rate of the CPU of the individual stations.

  • Patent number: 5311173
Abstract: In a navigation system which has sensors for detecting a running distance, an azimuth, etc. of a vehicle, and a memory for storing map data; a probability density of a position of the vehicle is calculated on the basis of the sensor outputs and the map data for each of quantization units with which a probability computation determined by detection accuracies of the sensors and quantization of the map data can be executed. In addition, a final stage calculation of DP matching between trajectory data obtained from the on-board sensor data from a start point of the vehicle until a current time and a candidate route estimated from the road map data is iteratively executed, whereby a plurality of estimative vehicular positions and uncertainties (costs) corresponding to the respective estimative positions are iteratively evaluated, and a correct vehicular position is estimated by selecting at least one estimative vehicular position of low uncertainty (cost).
