  • Publication number: 20070018414
Abstract: A stabilizer control apparatus for controlling a torsional rigidity of a stabilizer arranged between a right wheel and a left wheel of a vehicle includes a turning state detecting device for detecting a turning state quantity of the vehicle, and a switching device for switching the torsional rigidity of the stabilizer and including a first position in which a first torsional rigidity is achieved and a second position in which a lower torsional rigidity than the first torsional rigidity is achieved. The switching device switches between the first position and the second position based on the turning state quantity detected by the turning state detecting device. Further, the switching device switching the first position to the second position when a state in which the turning state quantity detected by the turning state detecting device is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value continues for a predetermined time or more.

  • Patent number: 6460840
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a helical compression spring which is mounted on a vehicle body to be compressed between an upper seat and a lower seat. The spring has a coil axis that is substantially curved at a predetermined radius of curvature in an unloaded state of the spring. A pitch of a lower end coil of the spring is set to tilt the end plane of the lower end coil at a first predetermined angle to the lower seat in the direction for shortening the longitudinal length of the spring at the inside of the curvature, and/or a pitch of an upper end coil is set to tilt the end plane of the upper end coil at a second predetermined angle to the upper seat in the direction for shortening the longitudinal length of the spring at the outside of the curvature. The coil axis of the spring may be substantially curved in accordance with at least two radius of curvature in the unloaded state of the spring.

  • Patent number: 6222477
Abstract: A cascade A/D converter configured by connecting in cascade two or more stages of electronic circuits, each stage comprising a comparator to convert an analog input signal to a digital signal, a latch circuit to hold the output of the comparator, a D/A converter to convert the output of the comparator to an analog signal, and a subtractor to subtract the output of the D/A converter from the analog input signal; wherein are provided a waveform composition circuit to compose code changing waveforms in the comparators, a plurality of detecting devices for detecting each vicinity of code changing points for detecting the code changes in the comparators by receiving the changing waveforms in the waveform composition circuit as inputs, and an error correction circuit that rejects noise generated at the code changing points based on the outputs of the detecting devices; whereby errors due to noise are substantially eliminated.

  • Patent number: 6199882
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a vehicle wheel suspension which includes a strut mounted at the upper end thereof on a vehicle body for supporting a wheel, a lower seat fixed to the strut, an upper seat mounted on the vehicle body, and a helical compression spring mounted between the lower seat and the upper seat, with the strut enclosed in the spring. The spring has a coil axis substantially curved at a predetermined radius of curvature in an unloaded state of the spring. The lower seat is tilted at a first predetermined angle in such a direction that the longitudinal length of the spring at the outside of the vehicle body is shortened when the spring is mounted between the upper seat and the lower seat, and/or the upper seat is tilted at a second predetermined angle in such a direction that the longitudinal length of the spring at the inside of the vehicle body is shortened when the spring is mounted between the upper seat and the lower seat.

  • Patent number: 5740492
Abstract: A color image forming apparatus is provided with an intermediate transfer belt to transfer thereupon an image of each of a plurality of colors carried on a photoconductive member, sequentially superposing one image on top of another, to form a full color image, and to further transfer the full color image to a copysheet. The intermediate transfer belt is passed over supporting rollers and a plurality of marks are printed on the intermediate transfer belt for indicating a position on the belt. A detector is provided for detecting the marks on the belt to generate a detect signal to start an image forming operation for each of the colors. The detector is controlled to start detection of a mark when a predetermined length of time is elapsed after a start or a termination of an operation of a driving element of the apparatus. The detector is provided at a position facing one of the support rollers around which the intermediate transfer belt is passed.
