  • Publication number: 20140003612
Abstract: According to one embodiment, information terminal includes: first audio input module; first audio output module; second audio input module; audio processor; and second audio output module. The first audio input module receives an external sound from an external information terminal connected to the information terminal via an external network. The first audio output module outputs the external sound. The second audio input module receives sounds transmitted from a sound input device of each information terminal within a group connected to the information terminal via the internal network. The audio processor synthesizes the in-group sounds to generate a single input sound, and removes an echo component from the input sound. Here, the echo component is caused due to the external sounds output from the sound output device. The second audio output module outputs the input sound from which the echo component is removed to the external information terminal.

  • Publication number: 20130295988
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a switch circuit switches a resonance frequency band of an antenna in a display unit between first and second resonance frequency bands. The second resonance frequency band is overlapped with a part of the first resonance frequency band and is higher than the first resonance frequency band. A wireless communication module wirelessly transmits and receives signals using a transmission frequency band and a reception frequency band which are included in the first resonance frequency band. A screen image orientation control module changes an orientation of a screen image displayed on the display unit. A resonance frequency shift module shifts the resonance frequency band of the antenna from the first resonance frequency band to the second frequency band by controlling the switch circuit when the orientation of the screen image is an orientation in which the antenna is positioned on a downward side of the screen image.

  • Patent number: 6983156
Abstract: When an access point receives radio waves from a GPS satellite and acquires its own position information, it sends a beacon signal containing the acquired information to a PC over a wireless LAN. If the PC receives the beacon signal containing the position information from the access point, it starts initializing the wireless LAN function of the PC. Specifically, the PC analyzes the position information sent from the access point, derives a region to which the position indicated by the position information belongs, and updates the setting information in a flash memory so as to conform to the radio communication standard of the derived region. At the same time, the updated setting information is set onto the operations (frequency band, transmission power) of the wireless LAN card.

  • Publication number: 20030059051
Abstract: A wireless device is a product to be shipped by a manufacturer/distribution source, which is an object to be processed by an electronic apparatus of this invention. A unique information acquisition unit of a personal computer acquires information unique to the wireless device (e.g., a production number, MAC address, or the like) using a barcode reader. An encryption key generation unit uses the information acquired by the unique information acquisition unit to generate an encryption key used when the wireless device makes wireless communications. An encryption key setting instruction unit issues a command for setting the encryption key generated by the encryption key generation unit to the wireless device. On the other hand, in the wireless device that receives this command, an encryption key setting unit sets this encryption key.
