  • Patent number: 9013193
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to accurately detect concentrations of mixtures in a fluid. An internal electrode 23 is disposed on the inner side of an external electrode 22 coaxially with the external electrode 22, and a plurality of points in the length direction of the internal electrode 23 are supported by a casing 21 via supporting members 28a and 28b. The state of a fluid S passing through a passage 26 between the external electrode 22 and the internal electrode 23 is detected based on electrostatic capacitance between the external electrode 22 and the internal electrode 23.

  • Patent number: 5274000
Abstract: A new series of benzofuran and benzothiophene derivatives are disclosed. These compounds have a structure which can be obtained by substituting the third position of 2-lower alkyl-benzofuran or 2-lower alkyl-benzothiophene with a substituted benzene derivative, itaconic acid derivative or a substituted phenoxymethyl tetrazole derivative. They are useful as diuretics without side effects of elevating serum uric acid levels and can be used in the treatment of hyperuricemia.

  • Patent number: 5180402
Abstract: A dyed synthetic fiber having antibacterial and antifungal properties is described, which contains 0.01 to 20 weight % of a silver-substituted zeolite and 0.001 to 1.0 weight % of a substantially water-insoluble copper compound. The copper compound is present independent of zeolite particles in the fiber. The dyed synthetic fiber is prepared by incorporating a silver-substituted zeolite in a monomer or a polymerization mixture before the completion of polymerization in the step of preparing a polymer for the fiber; further incorporating the copper compound in the polymer before the spinning thereof into a fiber; spinning the polymer into a fiber; and dyeing the fiber. The dyed fiber retains a high level of antibacterial and antifungal properties.

  • Patent number: 4987030
Abstract: A conjugated fiber having a sheath-core conjugated structure comprising a polyester core component composed mainly of polyethylene terephthalate and a polyamide sheath component composed mainly of polyhexamethylene adipamide, is disclosed, which has excellent mechanical properties such as a high tenacity, a high modulus, and an improved dimensional stability, and an improved adhesion to a rubber, especially a high-temperature adhesion, an improved heat resistance in a rubber, and a high fatigue resistance, and thus is useful as an industrial material. By adopting a high-speed spinning procedure in the fiber preparing process, the peel resistance in the interface of the sheath-core conjugated structure is greatly improved, and the following valuable characteristics not possessed by conventional conjugated yarns can be obtained:(1) Excellent adhesion and high-temperature adhesion comparable to those of a polyamide, which cannot be obtained in a polyester.
