Patent number: 6427205Abstract: In a digital signal processor for pipeline processing divided into at least three steps, i.e., instruction fetch cycle, instruction decode cycle and instruction execution cycle, a value of a register (A) is put on a data bus assuming the condition is consistent when a condition execution instruction is decoded in an instruction decoder (14). Then, in the instruction execution cycle of the condition execution instruction, a register (B) introduced the value on the data bus when upon consistency of the condition. As a result, even before a condition flag (Z) changes as a result of execution of the instruction for generating the condition in the instruction execution cycle, the condition execution instruction can be decoded. Thus, the processor may omit an instruction other than “condition generation instruction or condition execution instruction” which was conventionally required.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 1999Date of Patent: July 30, 2002Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha ToshibaInventors: Koichi Mori, Toshiyuki Furusawa, Daisuke Sonoda

Publication number: 20020087702Abstract: A method and system for displaying contents on a client terminal device received over a communication link, such as a computer network (i.e., the Internet) or a mobile telecommunications network, is disclosed. A request is received at a host terminal device from the client terminal device for selected content. A set of font images is then selected from a font library based on the determined frequency of selected font characteristics. The selected set of font images has fewer font images than the font library. The selected set of font images is preferably compressed and sent from the host terminal device to the client terminal device over the communication link. Next, the content, which contains content location information and font pattern codes, is preferably compressed and sent to the client terminal device over the communication link on a page-by-page basis.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 29, 2000Publication date: July 4, 2002Inventor: Koichi Mori

Patent number: 5784880Abstract: For an engine for which fuel supply is cut off in predetermined deceleration conditions, the catalyst temperature of a catalytic converter is inferred and the amount of intake air is measured. If the catalyst temperature is high and also the amount of intake air is great, then the cutting off of fuel supply is prohibited, and instead fuel combustion is performed under rich conditions. Since during fuel supply cut off the amount of oxygen supplied to the catalytic converter is relatively increased, and the temperature of the catalyst becomes elevated due to reaction between this oxygen and the catalyst within the catalytic converter, accordingly this increase of the catalyst temperature is prevented by prohibiting fuel supply cut off in such conditions in which elevation of the temperature of the catalyst can easily occur.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 1996Date of Patent: July 28, 1998Assignee: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takayuki Toshiro, Koichi Mori, Kimiyoshi Nishizawa

Patent number: 5778662Abstract: In control apparatus and method for an internal combustion engine, an incremental correction coefficient for a basic fuel injection (supply) quantity is carried out in such a way that an excess coefficient at an inlet portion of a three-way catalytic converter interposed in an exhaust passage of the engine gives a predetermined value and a retardation correction quantity by which a basic ignition advance angle (ADV) is retarded is determined when a secondary air is supplied into a portion of the exhaust passage which is located upstream with respect to the catalytic converter and an engine driving condition falls in an idling state.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 1996Date of Patent: July 14, 1998Assignee: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Koichi Mori, Takayuki Toshiro, Kimiyoshi Nishizawa

Patent number: 5720166Abstract: An engine is equipped with a mechanism for supplying supplementary air into an exhaust conduit upstream of a catalytic converter in order to increase catalytic activity thereof. An incremental proportion for fuel supply during this supply of supplementary air is determined so as to keep the concentration of oxygen upstream of the catalytic converter substantially at a predetermined value which corresponds to an air/fuel ratio on the lean side of stoichiometric. Further, the amount of fuel supplied is corrected according to the greater of this incremental proportion and an incremental proportion which is determined according to the temperature of the engine. By doing this, the oxygen concentration in the vicinity of the intake of the catalytic converter is maintained at the predetermined value which is lean, and the catalyst is activated at an early stage.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 1996Date of Patent: February 24, 1998Assignee: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takayuki Toshiro, Koichi Mori, Kimiyoshi Nishizawa
