    Abstract: In the case where variations in ground objects in one and the same area are detected between a line drawing map describing profile lines of the ground objects or a reference line drawing/image obtained by picking up the ground objects from above, and a target image obtained by picking up the ground objects in the same area from above later on, a variation detecting apparatus collates the reference line drawing/image with the target image so as to obtain variation indexes indicating whether there are variations or not in the ground objects respectively, and displays ground objects which can be judged to have variations or ground objects which cannot be judged as to whether there are variations or not on the basis of the variation indexes, in a display mode in which an area of the reference line drawing/image including the ground objects and an area of the target image including the ground objects can be compared with each other.

A second device rotatably connects the left-hand wheel to the body. An elastically deformable stabilizer is connected between the first and second devices. A mechanism serves to positively deform the stabilizer. A sensor may detect an operating condition of the vehicle, such as a steering condition or speed of the vehicle. The stabilizer may be positively deformed in accordance with the detected operating condition of the vehicle.

    Abstract: The device of this invention has a variable capacity pump, a channel through which the discharged fluid from the pump passes toward an actuator, a variable choke located in the channel and pressure detecting means which detects the pressure difference on opposite sides of the variable choke. The pump varies its volume in relation with the pressure difference detected by the pressure detecting means. The opening area of the channel is varied by the variable choke in relation with the pressure of the fluid being supplied to the actuator, namely the pressure of the fluid flowing downstream of the variable choke. The device of this invention may also have an auxiliary variable choke located in the channel. The auxiliary variable choke can control the amount of fluid being supplied to the actuator in response to the operating condition of the actuator.

    Abstract: An improved power steering system for vehicles is utilized in association with a variable discharge pump for supplying pressure fluid to one of both cylinder chambers divided by a piston of a power cylinder, selectively. The power steering system includes a variable throttle provided in a fluid supplying passage between the pump and the cylinder chamber. Upon rotation of a steering shaft, an adjusting member adjusts a cross sectional area of the variable throttle in accordance with the variable steering torque. The power steering system also includes a discharge quantity controller for controlling a discharge quantity of the pressure fluid of the pump so that a pressure differential between up and downstreams of the variable throttle is constant. The discharge quantity of the pressure fluid of the pump is changed to be suitable to the any variable steering torque.

    Abstract: An internal combustion engine equipped with a supercharger including a bypass passage avoiding a turbine and disposed in parallel to an exhaust pipe, and a bypass valve mounted in the bypass passage for controlling the flow rate of exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust pipe. A control method for the internal combustion engine equipped with a supercharger wherein an air intake is compressed by a compressor coaxially connected to the turbine driven by exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust pipe to supply a supercharger pressure to the engine; the temperature of exhaust gas flowing into a casing of the turbine is sensed by a temperature sensor; and the pressure of the air intake supplied to the engine as the supercharger pressure is controlled when the temperature sensor produces a signal, to thereby keep the temperature of the exhaust gas at a level below a predetermined value.

    Abstract: A power control system for a supercharged internal combustion engine. The system has a passage providing a communication between the compressor outlet of the supercharger and an exhaust by-pass valve actuator, the passage being communicated at its other end with the compressor inlet of the supercharger. A variable orifice valve is disposed at an intermediate portion of the passage opening to the exhaust by-pass valve actuator and the compressor inlet. Control means is provided to control the opening of the variable orifice valve in accordance with the amount of depression of the accelerator pedal of the vehicle or the opening of the throttle valve of the engine.

    Abstract: In a knocking control device comprising an exhaust bypass valve driven by the diaphragm actuator and a knocking control circuit, the amount of bypassed exhaust gas is adjusted in accordance with the knocking, the upper and lower limits regarding the opening degree of the control valve are determined in accordance with the opening degree of the throttle valve and the signal determining the upper limit concerning the opening degree of the control valve is prior to the signal determining the opening degree of the control valve due to the knocking signal when the opening degree of the throttle valve is changed. Thus, an increase in the output of the engine and an improvement in specific fuel consumption is achieved and the durability of the engine is improved due to the elimination of knocking and a decrease in the temperature of the exhaust gas.
