    Abstract: A self-aligning roller bearing is provided which includes an inner ring having a double-row raceway, an outer ring having a double-row integral and spherical raceway, a plurality of rollers incorporated between the inner ring raceway and the outer ring raceway on a double-row basis, and a retainer for rotatably retaining the rollers. Processing marks crossing each other are formed on a raceway surface of the spherical raceway of the outer ring. The processing marks are cut substantially straightly at a predetermined crossing angle to the circumferential direction of the raceway surface. The surface roughness of the raceway surface is substantially constant in the axial direction and the circumferential direction thereof at least in a part in contact with the roller.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an equalizer capable of accurately compensating for non-linearity of an input signal due to the asymmetry phenomenon, etc., during the disk production process. Two tap coefficients are provided in a coefficient unit. A comparator compares the value of a middle tap signal, which is a reference signal, and a threshold, so as to produce a selection signal based on the comparison result. The coefficient unit selects one of the two tap coefficients as the selected tap coefficient based on the selection signal, and a tap signal is multiplied with the selected tap coefficient. Thus, it is possible to adaptively switch the tap coefficients of the equalizer as a whole based on the value of the middle tap signal, which is the reference signal. Therefore, it is possible to accurately compensate for the non-linearity of the input signal.

In producing the unusual waveform determination signal, one of a configuration where a voltage at each of all sampling points is compared with a reference voltage and a configuration where a continuously changing gradient of signal waveform peaks is calculated and is compared with a reference gradient is selectively employed. To provide the control voltage Vc, a holding circuit smoothes the higher one of an output voltage of the variable gain amplifying circuit, which has been rectified by a rectifying circuit, and a voltage detected by a minute voltage detecting circuit, so that the control voltage Vc is obtained via a direct-current amplifying circuit. Since the clamping circuit varies the control voltage Vc based on a reference voltage Vref on receiving a minute input signal, even when an AGC characteristic is changed by varying the reference voltage Vref, the minimum gain is always corrected to be constant.

A headlight 1 comprises a mirror reflector 3 divided into an upper left movable section 32, an upper right movable section 33 provided with respective pivots 32a and 33a. When the motorcycle is tilted, the tilted or lowered one of the movable sections 32 and 33 is driven to turn upward by a corresponding solenoid type driving unit 5 according to a tilt sensor 22 to face the forward of the moving motorcycle and produce a light 5 distribution pattern aligned with the direction along which the motorcycle moves so that any possible deterioration in the light distribution pattern can be effectively corrected.
