  • Patent number: 6809691
Abstract: A top conductor 11, a ground conductor 12, and side conductors 13 form an antenna box having two openings 22 and 23. Antenna elements 14 and 15 are placed inside of the antenna box, and are connected to power supply points 16 and 17, respectively. A power supply control circuit 20 has a switching function of connecting either one of the power supply points 16 and 17, to an external connecting terminal 21. Depending on the antenna element 14 or 15 being operated, the antenna has a directivity biased to a desired direction. The power supply control circuit 20 may have a signal combining/separating function, a phase shifter 26, or an amplitude adjusting circuit 27. With this, it is possible to provide a small, slim antenna capable of biasing the directivity to a desired direction and controlling the directivity even after installation.

  • Publication number: 20040183529
Abstract: An electromagnetic wave measuring apparatus includes a loop probe section having loop probes 11a to 11c whose loop planes are placed so as to be perpendicular to each other, and each loop probe is placed so that its magnetic field detection space is not interfered with by other loop probes. If the loop probe section is placed at measurement position coordinates xi, yj, it detects a magnetic field component at the measurement position coordinates xi, yj, which is parallel to an XY plane, and a magnetic field component in a Z-axis direction at measurement position coordinates xi, yj−1, and repeats measurement by pitch p in a positive Y-axis direction. By calculating the root sum square of the detection results at each measurement position coordinate, a three-dimensional magnetic field level of an object to be measured can be obtained at each measurement position coordinate as electromagnetic field distribution with high-precision.

  • Patent number: 6731920
Abstract: A transmitting unit of a portable telephone apparatus transmits radio signals by using at least two antennas and simultaneously energizing those antennas with a predetermined amplitude ratio and a predetermined phase difference so that the direction of the main beam of a radiation pattern has a direction substantially opposite to that of the audio radiating direction from a speaker, and so that the mean effective gain is larger than that of when a single antenna is energized. The above energization of at least two antennas is formed only for transmission of telephone speech. A receiving unit of the portable telephone apparatus receives radio signals by using at least two antennas, and selectively receives, by the diversity receiving system, the radio signal having the highest level of those radio signals received by those antennas.

  • Publication number: 20040031926
Abstract: In case of performing so-called “PET acquisition”, a nuclear medical diagnosis apparatus according to the present invention does not set only gamma rays which imparted predetermined energy values (for example, energy values of and above a Compton edge), as subjects for coincidental counting acquisition (coincidence acquisition), but it discriminates also further gamma rays which caused a photoelectric effect after having undergone Compton scattering once in a radiation detection unit, so as to set them as subjects for the coincidental counting acquisition. Concretely, if the added value of energy values observed in two detection elements is “near 511 keV”, the existence of the further gamma ray is presumed, and the acquisition thereof is possible. Besides, that one of the two detection elements as to which energy near the Compton edge is observed can be specified as the incident position of the gamma ray on the radiation detection unit.
