  • Patent number: 6685164
Abstract: The control valve according to the present invention has a high durability, so that the valve is not easily damaged even in case that the valve is provided in a corrosion gas current path. The valve has a construction such that a diaphragm (4) is contained in the valve body (2), which has a valve chamber (23) between the gas current in path (25) and the gas current out path (26). The diaphragm 4 is urged against an opening (252) formed in the center of the valve seat 231 in the valve chamber (23) to open and close the opening. The valve has a valve control member (5), which has a clamping member (3) to clamp the diaphragm and is made to contact to the diaphragm from outside to open and close the opening. The diaphragm has an urging member (41) made of ceramic, which is fixed to the opening (252) side of the diaphragm so that the resistance to corrosion of the diaphragm is improved.

  • Patent number: 6476284
Abstract: An efficient dehalogenation can be carried out by a method which comprises treating an organic compound containing a compound of halogen, such as fluorine or chlorine, as an impurity and having non-conjugated carbon-carbon double bonds, for example, butene polymer produced with a boron trifluoride catalyst, with an inorganic solid treating agent containing aluminum atoms. When the dehalogenation is conducted in the presence of a basic substance such as ammonia or an amine, it can be continued over long while inhibiting the isomerization of the non-conjugated carbon-carbon double bonds.

  • Patent number: 6309621
Abstract: An economical, industrial and ecologically-sound process for producing high test hypochlorite and a calcium chloride aqueous solution comprising the steps of (a) preparing milk of lime, (b) chlorinating the milk of lime to crystallize calcium hypochlorite dihydrate in the presence of the prismatic calcium hypochlorite dihydrate seed crystals having a specific habit to prepare a slurry of coarse calcium hypochlorite dihydrate crystals, (c) separating the slurry into a wet cake of calcium hypochlorite dihydrate crystals and a mother liquor containing calcium hypochlorite and calcium chloride, (d) drying the wet cake to provide high test hypochlorite, and (e) adding hydrochloric acid to the mother liquor or bringing the mother liquor into contact with an oxide of at least one of Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Pd to decompose the calcium hypochlorite to obtain a calcium chloride aqueous solution.

  • Patent number: 6300444
Abstract: It is possible to produce butene polymer at high yield, which polymer contains 80 mol % or more of polymer molecules having terminal vinylidene structure and being low in the content of residual organic fluorine by a process comprising Step (I) to polymerize in liquid phase by adding complex catalyst composed of boron trifluoride, ether and alcohol and/or water in specified ratios to C4 fractions and Step (II) to reduce the content of trimer and lighter components contained in the obtained polymer to 0.2% by weight or less by distillation.

  • Patent number: 4360649
Abstract: A curable resin composition comprising an epoxy resin, a hardener and an epoxy compound-dialkylamine adduct as a latent hardener. The composition is excellent in storage stability at ambient temperatures and rapidly curable under heating conditions, and is usable as adhesives, paints, molding materials, casting materials and so on.

  • Patent number: 4013615
Abstract: A vinyl monomer alone, or a mixture of a vinyl monomer and at least one comonomer copolymerizable with said vinyl monomer and having a faster rate of polymerization than the rate of polymerization of the viny monomer, is emulsion-polymerized in an aqueous medium in the presence of a surface active agent and a pigment and, if required, other additives, under vigorous stirring. The polymer particles are substantially spherical. They do not contain interconnected pigment particles on the surface thereof but rather the pigment particles are substantially uniformly distributed in the interior of the polymer particles. There is obtained a powder composition adapted for electrostatic spray coating. When an agent for preventing thermal cracking is added to the emulsion polymerization reaction mixture after the completion of polymerization, there is obtained an electrostatic spray coating powder paint composition which does not become deteriorated if the coating film is heated at high fusing temperatures.
