  • Patent number: 8704493
Abstract: This invention offers an battery system that reduces a conversion loss due to a charger to reduce power consumption. The battery system has a solar battery, a battery module, a bypass route to bypass a charger to charge the battery module with DC power generated by the solar battery, and a control unit to control so that the electric power generated by the solar battery is supplied to the battery module through the bypass route when an output voltage of the solar battery is equal to or higher than a first predetermined voltage, that is higher than a terminal voltage of the battery module, and equal to or lower than a second predetermined voltage.

  • Patent number: 8541982
Abstract: A battery system including an assembled battery, a charge mode for charging the assembled battery and a discharge mode for converting electric energy charged in the assembled battery to AC power having the same or substantially the same frequency as a grid and supplying the AC power to a power supply line through which the grid and a load are connected further including a current detector for detecting current supplied to the load, and a control device for calculating an average power usage of past several days based on current being detected by the current detector, and converting the amount of electric power corresponding to the difference between the average power usage and a power usage based on the current value from the current detector to the AC power from the assembled battery to the load in the discharge mode to supply the AC power to the power supply line.

  • Publication number: 20120234029
Abstract: The present invention particularly relates to a decrease in a standby power in an outdoor side unit, in an air conditioner comprising an indoor side unit and the outdoor side unit. The air conditioner includes a current detector which detects an alternating current flowing through a power line connecting the indoor side unit to the outdoor side unit, and a switch which performs a circuit communicating operation in a case where a current value detected by this current detector exceeds a predetermined standard value, and the air conditioner has a constitution in which via this switch, an operation of an outdoor side control circuit is started, and with the driving of a motor of the indoor side unit, the outdoor side control circuit is operated.

  • Publication number: 20110204852
Abstract: A power storage system is provided. A control apparatus controls the power storage system to perform a charging mode in which an assembled battery is charged in a first predetermined time period and a discharging mode in which the assembled battery is discharged in a second predetermined time period. A residual electric power amount determination unit detects an amount of one of electric current and electric power currently remaining in the assembled battery. A discharged electric power amount determination unit detects an amount of one of electric current and electric power discharged from the assembled battery during the second predetermined time period.
