  • Patent number: 7489049
Abstract: An antitheft system can be provided by constructing such that, when a stop signal has been inputted from an engine 7, a main controller 2 outputs, until a first predetermined time Ts elapses, a turn-on signal to switches 8, 9 to perform a similar antitheft processing as in an operation of the engine 7 and after an elapse of the first predetermined time Ts, instructs the switch 9 to repeat a turn-on and turn-off at predetermined time intervals ?t, and, whenever the switch 9 is brought into a turned-on position, detects a position at that time by a position detecting controller 3 and compares the position with a position at the time of an engine stop to determine whether or not a theft has taken place. Owing to this construction, it is no longer necessary to always feed power to the position detecting controller 3 during the stop of the engine 7, thereby making it possible to cut down the feeding of as much power to the controller 3 as a time elapsed during which the switch 9 is kept off.

  • Patent number: 7454441
Abstract: The MFP 101 compresses the image data read by the scanner 102 using the JBIG format, and then stores the image data in the image-data storing unit 104. The converting unit 109 of the MFP 101 converts the stored image data into a specific file format and then outputs this converted image data. Herewith, the user need not have the MFP read the original source once again even when image data of that source is requested to be output in a different file format.

  • Patent number: 7436975
Abstract: In an image reading apparatus, a user ID is input as login information pertaining to the user who implemented reading of the original document. The user ID is embedded in the image data created from the original document data as an electronic watermark, and the image data is sent to a PC. The PC that receives the image data reads the user ID from the image data. If the user ID read from the image data matches a user ID entered by a user who issued a printing command, the PC issues a print command regarding the image data. Otherwise, printing is prohibited. Through this processing, printing of the image data is permitted only for the user who implemented reading of the image data.

  • Patent number: 7343618
Abstract: A video content transmitting system is provided in which a video content transmitting server among a plurality of servers is automatically determined as to which server can establish a network bandwidth of each of all routes for video content transmission to a proper address of a video content play terminal by using a network protocol usable by the terminal. Information of a network protocol and a network route bandwidth used between the server and terminal is stored at a protocol information manager and a bandwidth information manager. In response to a video content transmission request from a terminal, bandwidths necessary for the routes to the terminal are established and video contents are transmitted by using the network protocol usable by the terminal.

  • Patent number: 7171188
Abstract: Provided is a communication system for working machines, which makes it possible to transmit desired messages from sites, where the working machines are arranged, to their corresponding work administration centers at timings as needed. When a mail switch 10 arranged on a working machine 7 is operated to send information to a server 1, a terminal user-company identification unit 14 identifies, on the basis of a terminal information database 18, a user to which the information so received is to be sent. A user-company-dependent mail selection unit 15 selects customer information 19a on the user from a customer database 19. At a transmission mail creation unit 16, a corresponding new message 16a is created. The mail is then transmitted from a mail output unit 17. In this manner, a desired message can be sent from each working machine 7 at a remote location to the corresponding user at a timing as needed.

  • Publication number: 20060261177
Abstract: In order to provide a method of manufacturing a bow tie antenna by using a photolithography of a comparatively low level, a truncated quadrangular pyramid is formed by forming on a substrate an etching mask of a shape similar to a top face of the truncated quadrangular pyramid, and isotropy-etching the substrate with the etching mask being made a mask material. Thereafter, metal films are formed on two opposite side faces of the truncated quadrangular pyramid by injecting a vacuum deposition source from a front of each of the faces and a direction parallel to the substrate.

  • Patent number: 7113669
Abstract: In order to provide a near field light head capable of guiding light efficiently to a near field light generating element, capable of being fabricated easily and at low cost and in correspondence with small-sized formation and thin-sized formation, the near field light head of the present invention has a transparent board including a near field light generating element at a lower face thereof. An upper face or the interior of the transparent board is formed with a lens to be opposed to the near field light generating element. The upper face of the transparent board is mounted with a single mode fiber. The single mode fiber is successively connected with a graded index (GI) fiber and a coreless fiber. An end face of the coreless fiber which is not connected to the GI fiber constitutes a reflecting face disposed at 45 degrees relative to the upper face of the transparent board. The reflecting face is arranged right above the lens.
