Abstract: A storage unit is configured to store booking information of a call to a first user and a second user by means of a first client device utilized by the first user and a second client device utilized by the second user. A computing unit stores such booking information acquired from the first client device, in the storage unit. A computing unit acquires an availability of the second user which is determined on the basis of a current position and an acceleration detected by the second client device, and executes the booked call in response to a change of the availability of the second user.

Abstract: An apparatus provides presence information indicating a state of users for devices associated with the users. The apparatus collects, from the devices, pieces of first information indicating which of a plurality of networks is accessible from each of the devices, and identifies combination of a plurality of pieces of the first information collected from a plurality of devices associated with a user by using second information indicating correspondence between the user and the plurality of devices. The apparatus generates presence information including information indicating a location of the user, based on the combination.

Abstract: A Web conference support apparatus acquires arbitrary attribute information from attribute information of a user, specifies a related video conference data file having information related to the attribute information in a set of video conference data files of a Web conference, forms link information which accesses the related video conference data file specified and a start command of a new Web conference between a participant in a related Web conference related to the related video conference data file and the user, and embeds the link information and the start command in Web page information which can accept selection of the related video conference data file and the new Web conference. The Web page information is transmitted to a terminal device of the user.

Abstract: An application testing method is used to test a first application which is written in a language which makes reference to and updates a database. The application testing method includes the steps of (a) giving test data to the first application by a capacity of a second application which issues a request, and (b) invalidating updating of the database made by the first application by a communication process which links to a transaction monitor or a database management system.

Abstract: An application and a debugger make a request for database manipulation to a database server via a pseudo-database server, so that the debugger is permitted to make access to a database within the same transaction as the application. When requested by the application to terminate a transaction, the pseudo-database server requests the database server to abort the transaction. According to settings in a debug environment file, the pseudo-database server logs messages transmitted and received by the application during the execution of a transaction.

Abstract: An inter-system serialization control system comprising an external storage unit commonly connected to computer systems for storing, when a request for accessing a logical processing unit in the shared resources is generated from one of the computer systems, serialization management information corresponding to the logical processing unit. The logical processing unit is smaller than a volume of the shared resources. A serialization control unit is provided in each computer system, for reading, in response to a request for accessing a logical processing unit of the shared resources, the corresponding logical processing unit in the serialization management information from the external storage unit and for accessing the corresponding logical processing unit in the shared resources under serialization control based on the read serialization management information.

Abstract: A log file control system is used in a complex system which includes a plurality of computer systems connected for communications. Additionally, the complex system includes a data base which is shared among the computer systems and a high-speed storage unit which is also shared among the computer systems. Further, a saving unit is present in each of the computer systems for saving log data, outputted by a transaction processed in the computer system, in a backout file for the computer system. A serializing unit in each of the computer systems exclusively obtains a log data buffer of the complex system, according to an inter-system exclusive control table, and transmits the serialized log data to the log data buffer. When the log data buffer issues a request for transmitting the data to a log file, an accumulating unit in the computer system transmits the data according to the request from the log data buffer.
