  • Patent number: 7914065
Abstract: An opening and closing device opens and closes a shielding body that partitions space by the operation of an operating unit in a range between a fully opened position and a fully closed position. The opening and closing device includes a limit setting unit, a control unit, and an operating element. The limit setting unit can perform an operation for setting an operational limit position of the shielding body. The control unit sets a range, where the shielding body can be opened and closed by the operation of the operating unit, as a predetermined range between the set operational limit position and a fully closed position or between the set operational limit position and a fully opened position. The operating element operates the control unit so that the range where the shielding body is opened and closed is set to the predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 6239150
Abstract: Compounds represented by the general formula (I) wherein n represents 1 or 2; R1 represents, for example, a C1-C10 alkyl group which may be substituted with a C3-C10 cycloalkyl group or carboxyl group; R2 represents hydrogen atom, a C1-C10 alkyl group or other; and R3 represents amino group or amidino group, whose example include trans-4-amino-[(S)-N-[(S)-2-propoxycarbonylamino-3-isopropylthio-3-methyl-butanoyl]prolyl]aminomethylcyclohexane. The compounds have potent inhibitory activity against thrombin, and are useful as anticoagulants.

  • Patent number: 4473775
Abstract: An auxiliary grid which is formed with one or more elongated slits through which pass electron beams is disposed in a prefocusing system in a cathode-ray tube, and a dynamic voltage which varies in level with increase in horizontal deflection angle is applied to the auxiliary grid so that axial asymmetry of the prefocusing system can be increased with increase in the horizontal deflection angle. As a consequence, the beam spot can be maintained substantially in the form of a true circle not only at the center of the screen but also at the portions adjacent to the peripheries thereof. Thus, the resolution at the portions adjacent to the peripheries of the screen can be improved and consequently high-quality images can be represented over the whole surface of the screen.
