  • Patent number: 5666151
Abstract: A video signal provider multiplexes digital video signals for four channels and provides a signal the bandwidth of which is limited to 6 MHz by RF-modulation. An analog video signal provider provides another signal the bandwidth of which is limited to 6 MHz by RF-modulation. A digital audio signal provider multiplexes digital audio signals for 32 channels and provides another signal the bandwidth of which is limited to 6 MHz by RF-modulation. • Patent number: 4966046
Abstract: A bicycle speed change lever assembly comprises a fixed support shaft, and a control lever pivotally supported on the support shaft and always subjected to a tension tending to pivot the lever in one direction. The lever has a boss portion housing a click ring formed with an arcuate series of clicking recesses. The click ring is co-rotatable with the lever boss portion. A ball is retained by a non-rotatable retainer disc in facing relation to the recess series. In one operational mode, the lever is given a rotational friction overcoming the tension, while the ball is backed up by a mode selector in a manner such that the ball comes into clicking engagement with the recess series with the capability of slight retreating movement.

  • Patent number: 4896209
Abstract: A passenger vehicle polling system. The system is capable of polling one or more terminal units, where each terminal unit is provided at a different one of a plurality of passenger seats in a passenger vehicle, to obtain information indicative of the state of each terminal unit. The polling is accomplished by transmitting a polling command signal from a head end apparatus through a transmission line to the terminal units. Preferably, a sensor is mounted adjacent each passenger seat to sense the status of the passenger seat. The sensed information is transmitted as a polling answer signal through the transmission line to the head end apparatus so that the status of each passenger seat and the condition of each passenger can be checked from the head end apparatus. Further, a system according to the invention may transmit audio and video programs to the terminal units, and the polling answer signal may indicate which audio or video program has been selected at each terminal unit.
