Publication number: 20070121297Abstract: A display device provided with a radiating structure for cooling heat of heat generating parts is provided. In a PDP device provided with a display panel which displays videos, reinforcement support members which reinforce the display panel fixed to an enclosure is made to contact heat generating parts which are heated in the enclosure and the reinforcement support members are made to have a dual-function as radiating members for radiating heat from the heat generating parts. This makes it possible to cool heat of the heat generating parts and suppress an increase in the number of parts and an increase in the manufacturing cost.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2006Publication date: May 31, 2007Applicant: ORION ELECTRIC CO., LTD.Inventors: Tatsuya Uchizono, Koichi Tajima

Publication number: 20070091554Abstract: To make it possible to change a mounting angle of a display section with respect to a stand section and reliably keep the angle of the display section without being changed with the own weight. A fixed section 13A made up of an inclined plane 14A inclined backward, a fixed section 13B made up of an inclined plane 14B inclined forward and a horizontal fixed section 13C located on the same plane as that of a fixed plate 10 are formed in the fixed plate 10 which is to be fixed to a stand section 7 for supporting a display section 1. A mounting angle of the display section 1 is changed with respect to the stand section 7 by selectively fixing legs 5 to any one of these fixed sections 13A to 13C.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2006Publication date: April 26, 2007Applicant: ORION ELECTRIC CO., LTD.Inventors: Tatsuya Uchizono, Koichi Tajima

Publication number: 20070064388Abstract: The invention provides a display device designed to reliably discharge air heated to a high temperature to the outside. Heat from a heating part mounted on a power supply substrate is transmitted to air inside an enclosure and the air heated to a high temperature moves upward by means of natural convection and is discharged through exhaust holes in the upper surface of a back cabinet. As a result of this, outside air is taken in through intake holes in the lower surface of the back cabinet, the outside air pushes up the air inside the enclosure from below and discharges it, and it is possible to thereby prevent the air inside the enclosure from becoming hot and forcibly take in/exhaust air, eliminate the necessity for any air blowing fan and thereby achieve cost reduction.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2006Publication date: March 22, 2007Applicant: ORION ELECTRIC CO., LTD.Inventors: Tatsuya Uchizono, Koichi Tajima, Hidenobu Mukougawa

Patent number: 7077527Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to share a projection unit which is a principal component of a rear-projection type imaging device and a chassis are mounted to thereby share a molding die of a base cabinet. Upper cabinets 3 are molded according to the inch size of a screen 7. A chassis 25 is shared. A base cabinet 5 is molded with a common molding die, nesting dies are built in according to the width of an upper cabinet 3 and adjustment sections 22 are formed as a single piece on both sides of the base cabinet 5. Adjustment sections 22a disposed on both sides of a back cover 6 and a decorative panel 26 fixed to the front of the base cabinet 5 are molded separately so as to match the width of the upper cabinet 3 to the width of a lower cabinet 4.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 2005Date of Patent: July 18, 2006Assignee: Orion Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Koichi Tajima, Kenji Shimoshita

Publication number: 20060066761Abstract: The present invention provides an inexpensive rear projection television including a cooling structure that blows air directly against a heating element that generates heat to become hot, thus suppressing a rise in the temperature of the heating element. In addition, the shapes of having exhaust ducts are simplified, thus reducing the cost. A first duct 71 and a second duct 101 are formed to have generally U-shaped cross sections; air blown by a first blowing fan 70 is exhausted to the exterior through the first duct 71 and external air is supplied to a second blowing fan 100 through the second duct 101. The U-shaped opening sides of the ducts are attached to a lower cabinet 5 to form cylindrical paths. Consequently, the costs of the ducts are lower than those of integrally cylindrically molded ducts.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2005Publication date: March 30, 2006Applicant: ORION ELECTRIC CO., LTD.Inventors: Koichi Tajima, Kenji Shimoshita, Takashi Tokuda
