  • Publication number: 20090113404
Abstract: A method of generating optimum parallel codes from a source code for a computer system configured of plural processors that share a cache memory or a main memory is provided. A preset code is read and operation amounts and process contents are analyzed while distinguishing dependence and independence among processes from the code. Then, the amount of data to be reused among processes is analyzed, and the amount of data that accesses the main memory is analyzed. Further, upon the reception of a parallel code generation policy inputted by a user, the processes of the code are divided, and while estimating an execution cycle from the operation amount and process contents thereof, the cache use of the reuse data, and the main memory access data amount, a parallelization method with which the execution cycle becomes shortest is executed.

  • Publication number: 20080034236
Abstract: Provided is a method of reliably reducing power consumption of a computer, while promoting prompt compilation of a source code and execution of an output code. The method according to this invention includes the steps of: reading a code which is preset and analyzing an amount of operation of the CPU and an access amount with respect to the cache memory based on the code; obtaining an execution rate of the CPU and an access rate with respect to the cache memory based on the amount of operation and the access amount; determining an area in which the access rate with respect to the cache memory is higher than the execution rate of the CPU, based on the code; adding a code for enabling the power consumption reduction function to the area; and generating an execution code executable on the computer, based on the code.

  • Publication number: 20060212868
Abstract: Barrier synchronization between multiprocessors is performed at high speed while reducing overhead of parallel processing without adding any special hardware mechanism. A parallel computer synchronization method is provided to synchronize threads through barrier synchronization for parallel execution of plural threads on plural processor modules. The parallel computer has plural processor modules (P0 and P1) equipped with plural processor cores (cpu0 to cpu3). The processor cores are each assigned plural threads (Th0 to Th7) to execute multithread processing. The plural threads (Th0 to Th7) are set in hierarchical groups (Gr), and barrier synchronization is performed on each group separately.

  • Patent number: 7023132
Abstract: In conventional organic EL display elements of this type, unevenness of brightness surely occurs at high temperatures. These conventional organic elements cannot be used in, for example, display devices to be mounted on vehicles, giving rise to the problem of inferior generalities. An organic EL display element 1 according to the present invention comprises a stress relaxation layer on a cathode after the cathode is formed, the stress relaxation layer being a film which exhibits tensile stress when the film stress of the cathode is compressive stress or exhibits compressive stress when the film stress of the cathode is tensile stress. This structure allows the organic EL display element to prevent the occurrence of unevenness of brightness caused by the film stress of the cathode to solve the problem and makes it possible to give generalities to organic EL display elements of this type.

  • Patent number: 6593837
Abstract: A transformer apparatus comprises a core member including a base portion, a center core portion and at least three side core portions fixed on peripheral parts to stand thereon. The transformer apparatus further comprises a primary coil fitted around the center core portion; a first plate coil member in a frame-like shape enclosing the outside of the side core portions; a second plate core member in a frame-like shape enclosing the outside of the side core portions and being combined with the first plate coil member in a laminated state having an insulating layer therebetween. The transformer apparatus further comprises connecting coil pieces cantilevered by each side portion of the second plate coil member correspondingly to the side core portions. Each free end of the connecting coil pieces extends to enclose the outer periphery portion of a corresponding side core portion to be connected with the first plate coil member.
