  • Patent number: 11887479
Abstract: A parking management system is provided that addresses the problem of parking difficulties in auto-valet situations where vehicle size is not taken into account. It includes a target parking position determination unit, a route generation unit, and a vehicle control unit. The determination unit considers parking block sizes, empty vehicle space position, and the own vehicle's size to find a suitable parking spot. The route generation unit creates a guidance route from the entrance to the target parking position. The vehicle control unit autonomously drives the own vehicle along the generated route. The system generates potential routes based on entrance or exit positions and determines a turning point on the route. If the own vehicle can safely navigate the turning point considering parked vehicle sizes and minimum turning radius, that route is selected as the guidance route.

  • Patent number: 11429108
Abstract: Provided is a noise-canceling learning device capable of performing control so as to prevent performing processing such as useless deceleration at the same place in self driving, for example, on a highway, and a vehicle including the noise-canceling learning device. The detection determination processing unit 143 of the noise-canceling learning device 14 causes the perceived object to be stored in (a data table of) the information storage unit 144 as a determination object in association with the perceived object and the own vehicle position information, determines whether the perceived object perceived by the sensor recognition perceiving unit 141 and the determination object stored in (a data table of) the information storage unit 144 match based on the position of the own vehicle 1 estimated by the own vehicle position estimating unit 142, and determines whether the perceived object perceived by the sensor recognition perceiving unit 141 is correct.

  • Patent number: 10902730
Abstract: Provided is a vehicle control device capable of reducing unease experienced by a driver and assisting a lane change of a vehicle. A vehicle control device 10 assists a lane change of a vehicle 1, said device comprising: a visible range calculation unit 11 that calculates an area as a visible range by excluding the area occupied by preceding vehicles 201, 202 from the area corresponding to the field of vision whilst driving; and a lane-change control unit 12 that conducts processing related to the lane change, on the basis of the calculated visible range. The lane-change control unit 12 conducts processing related to the lane change on the basis of the visible range of the current-travel lane of the vehicle, and the visible range of the intended change-destination lane of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20050129010
Abstract: Conventionally, no provision has been made to perform an update during a period of time during which the user does not use a communications terminal. Frequently used programs and data need be updated frequently, and infrequently used programs and data need not be frequently updated. Therefore, it is preferred that an update be performed depending on the frequency of use. No provision has been made heretofore to perform an update in accordance with frequency of use. To solve these problems, the communications terminal has a communication section for communicating with a server via a communication network, a storage section for storing a program, a control section for controlling the communication section and storage section, and a usage storage section for storing the usage status of the communications terminal, and a program stored in the storage section is updated in accordance with the usage status stored in the usage storage section.
