Each unit is formed of plural color areas for showing one color portion. The image forming apparatus includes a storing device for storing image plotting data showing color-plotted images; a control device for translating the image plotting data into print image data including plural groups of digits corresponding to the color areas in one unit; a detecting device for detecting a position of the color image forming sheet on the image forming apparatus and outputting a detection signal upon detection of the position; and a recording device for selectively covering the plural color areas on the color image forming sheet according to the print image data and the detection signal from the detecting means. Thus, the color-plotted image is produced on the color image forming sheet.

    Abstract: In a stencil printing method, an image on a printing material is formed by forcing ink to pass through perforations formed in a stencil sheet and to transfer onto the printing material. The method includes preparing ink transfer device having a surface made of an elastically deformable material; applying ink on the surface of the ink transfer device; and pressing the surface of the ink transfer device against the stencil sheet. Thus, a part of the ink transfer device having the ink deforms to enter into the perforations, thereby transferring the ink onto the printing material through the perforations of the stencil sheet to conduct printing on the printing material.

    Abstract: An optical switch comprises a pair of optical interrupters 31 and 32, a shutter 41 and a switch knob 61. The optical interrupters are composed of light-emitting elements 11 and 12 and optical fibers 21 and 22. The optical fiber of each optical interrupter is positioned coaxial to the light path of the light-emitting element and faces the light-emitting element with a predetermined space. The shutter 41 has at least one slit 42 to allow light passage and is provided slidable perpendicularly across the light path of the optical interrupters, and the switch knob 61 slides the shutter 41. The optical switch is turned on or off through the operation of the switch knob 61 as the slit 42 of the shutter 41 is positioned in the light paths of the optical interrupters, allowing the light to pass through the slit, or as the barrier portion of the shutter 41 is positioned in the light paths of the optical interrupters, blocking the light.
