The absorbent body has an absorbent core material covered with a cover sheet. The core material has a mass per unit area of 650 g/m2 or less and includes a first liquid absorbent layer containing hydrophilic fibers and superabsorbent polymer particles in a mixed state and a second liquid absorbent layer containing the hydrophilic fibers but none of the superabsorbent polymer particles, wherein the first liquid absorbent layer and the second liquid absorbent layer are overlap with each other and the hydrophilic fibers are in contact with each other between the first liquid absorbent layer and the second liquid absorbent layer.

The absorbent structure includes a liquid-absorbent mixture composed of super-absorbent polymer particles and fluff pulp and nonwoven fabric sheet formed from long fibers of thermoplastic resin. The nonwoven fabric sheet is put in contact, along at least one surface thereof, with the liquid-absorbent mixture and has cross points at which the long fiber sealed together, and a nap height defined by a difference between a thickness measured before a napping test and a thickness measured after the napping test is at least 0.5 mm.

Abstract: An absorbent article includes a rear waist region provided with a waist region elastic member attached thereto under tension. The waist region elastic member is formed with a plurality of slits each extending in a longitudinal direction and extending through the elastic member in a thickness direction thereof. The waist region elastic member is stretched in a transverse direction as the diaper is put on the wearer's body and thereupon the slits are opened up to form respective through-holes. A first graphics display region formed in combination with the slits includes note stems and note tails. Each of these note stems is contiguous to the associated through-holes. In the area nearer a crotch region than the first graphics display region, a second graphics display region is formed. The first and second graphics display regions cooperate to each other.

Abstract: A disposable diaper includes a body fluid absorbing zone extending over a crotch region further into front and rear waist regions, side flaps extending in a longitudinal direction outside transversely opposite side edges of the zone, and end flaps extending in a transverse direction outside longitudinally opposite ends of the zone. The side flaps in the front waist region are formed from a composite nonwoven fabric composed of a first fibrous nonwoven fabric facing away from the wearer's skin and a second fibrous nonwoven fabric laminated on the first fibrous nonwoven fabric and facing the wearer's skin. The first fibrous nonwoven fabric has a kinetic friction coefficient higher than a kinetic friction coefficient of the second fibrous nonwoven fabric.

Abstract: A receptacle of a bodily fluid trapping unit is defined by first and second sheets bonded together along respective peripheral edges thereof. The first sheet is formed with openings extending therethrough in its thickness direction. Backflow preventing means includes a flat valve disc provided on the side of the first sheet facing the receptacle, a sheet-like support base serving to prevent the valve disc from falling into the receptacle and a spacer interposed between the first sheet and the support base. A peripheral edge of the valve disc's upper surface is adapted to come in water-tight contact with the associated valve seat formed on the side of the opening's peripheral edge facing the receptacle. Between the first sheet and the support base, a space is defined by a spacer's opening so that the valve disc is movably supported in the thickness direction of the spacer.

Abstract: The present invention provides a bodily fluid treating article improved so as to assure that bodily fluids do not leak therefrom particularly when the wearer's body weight is exerted thereon or the wearer's posture changes, and a wearing article including the same. A bodily fluid treating article 1 is attached to a diaper 2 of a wearing article. A bodyside liner 61 and a backsheet 62 of the diaper 2 are formed with a chassis opening 59 extending therethrough in a thickness direction of them. A liquid-absorbent core 71 or a liquid-absorbent structure 70 is formed with a liquid-guiding opening 74 extending therethrough so as to be centrally aligned with the chassis opening 59. Within the liquid-guiding opening 74, a valve seat member 20 is provided as a component of the bodily fluid treating article 1 so that the outermost peripheral edge 25 of the valve seat member 20 may fit in the liquid-guiding opening 74.

These antislip elements are attached to portions of the end flap extending immediately outside transversely opposite ends of a waist elastic member on the side of these portions facing away from the diaper wearer's skin. The waist elastic member is, in turn, attached to the end flap.

Abstract: In a disposable diaper includes a pair of side flaps respectively extending from an end portion in a lateral direction of the diaper main body and a fixing tape disposed in proximity of a farthest edge of the respective side flaps, the fixing tape is provided with a hook member, the fixing tape and the side flaps are to be engaged via the hook member, and an engaging region on the side flaps where the fixing tape is to be engaged includes portions having a different engaging force with the hook member. As a result, the fixing tape can be temporarily fixed with a modest engaging force, despite the hook member having a greater engaging force.

The inner tape strip has a proximal portion fixed to the side section, a first distal portion bonded to the distal portion of the outer tape strip, and a second distal portion extending outwards from the distal portion of the outer tape strip. The hook member is attached to at least the second distal portion of the inner tape strip. The tape fastener has first and second zones corresponding to the distal portions of the outer and inner tape strips. A stiffness of the second zone is lower than that of the first zone.

Abstract: A disposable wearing article includes a liquid-pervious topsheet, a liquid-impervious backsheet, a liquid-absorbent core interposed between the top- and backsheets, a pair of liquid-impervious leak-barrier sheets and a pair of elastically stretchable sheets. Each portion of the aforesaid sheets placed one upon another are joined together by means of adhesives and the core is joined to inner surfaces of the top- and backsheets by means of adhesives. Adhesives are defined by a plurality of adhesive lines continuously extending in a given direction and each of the adhesive lines includes first and second zones arranged alternately in the given direction along the adhesive line. A quantity of adhesives in the first zone is much more than a quantity of adhesives in the second zone.

Abstract: A disposable diaper includes a pair of tape fasteners 6 that are used to connect front and rear waist regions 8, 10 to each other and are attached to side flaps 14 in the rear waist region 10 of the diaper. Each of the tape fasteners 6 includes fibrous nonwoven fabric made of thermoplastic synthetic resin fiber and thermoplastic synthetic resin coated on a substantially whole area of an outer surface of the fibrous nonwoven fabric wherein the thermoplastic synthetic resin forms a substantially smooth synthetic resin layer on outer surfaces of the respective tape fasteners. Thus, a free portion of each tape fastener is reliably prevented from being disengaged from a target tape even when the outer surface of the tape fastener and an inner surface of an underwear rub together during use of the diaper.

The stretchable wing areas have a transverse stretch stress higher than a transverse stretch stress of the stretchable waist area, so the tensile force exerted on the stretchable wing areas is segmentalized and restrained by the side edge portions of the rear waist region.
