  • Patent number: 10337538
Abstract: A shovel includes a first pump 14L; a second pump 14R; a hydraulic swing motor 21; a pump/motor 14A configured to generate an engine-assist torque in response to hydraulic oil from the hydraulic swing motor 21 during swing deceleration; an accumulator 80 configured to accumulate the hydraulic oil flowing out of the hydraulic swing motor 21 during swing deceleration; a regeneration valve 22G configured to switch open/close of transfer from a discharge port 21L to the pump/motor 14A and the accumulator 80; and a controller configured to control the regeneration valve 22G. During swing deceleration, the controller adjusts an open area of the regeneration valve 22G in such a way that a swing flowing-out pressure becomes a swing braking target pressure, and causes the hydraulic oil flowing out of the hydraulic swing motor 21 to flow into the pump/motor 14A and the accumulator 80 at the same pressure.

  • Patent number: 8939699
Abstract: In a construction machine, a boom assist cylinder (7A) assists an operation of a boom (4) by a hydraulic pressure, and an arm assist cylinder (8A) assists an operation of an arm (5) by a hydraulic pressure. An accumulator (16) accumulates operation oil to be supplied to the boom assist cylinder and the arm assist cylinder in a pressurized state. A first hydraulic pipe (14) connects between the boom assist cylinder and the arm assist cylinder. A second hydraulic pipe (12) connects between the arm assist cylinder and the accumulator. The second hydraulic pipe is connected to a hydraulic connection port of the arm assist cylinder so that the operation oil is supplied in a direction of closing the arm from the accumulator to the arm assist cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20140366717
Abstract: A fluid pressure increasing/decreasing machine can continuously supply an output pressure to a destination of supply by converting an input pressure from a source of supply. A control device selects at least one input pressure chamber and at least one output pressure chamber from among at least three pressure chambers in a fluid pressure cylinder or a plurality of fluid pressure cylinders operating inter-connectedly, the input pressure chamber being supplied with the input pressure, the output pressure chamber creating the output pressure including a pressure higher than the input pressure and a pressure lower than the input pressure. A flow control valve causes the selected input pressure chamber to communicate with the source of supply, and the selected output pressure chamber to communicate with the destination of supply. At least one of the pressure chambers is capable of being either of the input pressure chamber and the output pressure chamber.

  • Publication number: 20140338316
Abstract: A regeneration circuit includes an oil collection passage that collects return oil from a hydraulic motor to which pressure oil discharged from a hydraulic pump is supplied, a regeneration system that recovers energy from the collected return oil, and an oil resupply passage that resupplies pressure oil from the regeneration system to the hydraulic motor. The regeneration system includes a pressure oil inflow part that converts pressure energy of the collected return oil into mechanical energy, a pressure oil outflow part that outputs low pressure oil with a pressure lower than a pressure of the collected return oil to the oil resupply passage when the pressure energy of the collected return oil is converted into the mechanical energy, and a regeneration part that accumulates the mechanical energy.
