  • Patent number: 5188073
Abstract: A fluid control valve which regulates a flow rate of a liquid and, more particularly, which controls a fluid by axially moving a valve body fixed to a valve shaft. The fluid control valve comprises a device for absorbing vibrations of the valve shaft in a direction perpendicular to the axis thereof. More specifically, there is provided a device for exerting a pressing force to lightly press the valve shaft against the inner walls of bearings. Alternatively, the valve shaft may be held between a plurality of elastic plates fixed on the inner surface of a valve casing.

  • Patent number: 4823750
Abstract: Automotive engine idle speed control device meters the flow rate of air supplied to the engine bypassing an intake pipe thereof during engine idle operation to thereby control the engine idle speed. An actuating vacuum is produced in accordance with an electrical signal and acts on a diaphragm fixed to a valve movable with the diaphragm to meter the bypass air flow. To cancel any external force acting on the valve, adjusting means is provided to control the vacuum on the diaphragm independently of the electrical signal to displace the diaphragm in a direction opposite to the direction of action of the external force on the valve.

  • Patent number: 4560325
Abstract: A turbocharger having a rotor shaft supported by bearing portions of a bearing housing through floating bushes. Holders for the floating bushes are replaceably secured to the inner peripheral surfaces of the bearing portions opposing to the outer peripheral surfaces of the floating bushes. When the holders are worn down, the holders solely can be replaced with new ones, so that it is not necessary to renew the bearing housing as a whole.

  • Patent number: 4311008
Abstract: An exhaust bypass type turbo-charger includes a turbine driven by an exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine, a compressor driven by the turbine and supplying a compressed air into the engine, an exhaust bypass valve for controlling an amount of the exhaust gas bypassing the turbine, a drive mechanism for fluidly driving the exhaust bypass valve, and a transducer. The transducer communicated fluidly with both the drive mechanism and an outlet of the compressor, and amplifies the pressure variation of air discharged from the compressor so that the amplified pressure variation is applied in the drive mechanism. The drive mechanism, therefore, can start to open the exhaust bypass valve at a relatively smaller pressure, and fully open it at a relatively larger pressure.

  • Patent number: 4206606
Abstract: A recirculation duct with a check valve is connected to an exhaust duct communicating with the engine and a turbine of a turbocharger and an delivery duct communicating with the engine and compressor of the turbocharger. A branch duct is connected to the delivery tube upstream of the recirculation duct. In the branch duct, a control valve is provided for controlling a quantity of air flowing in the branch duct according to both a pressure in the exhaust duct and a pressure in the delivery duct downstream of the branch dust to lower the pressure in the delivery duct downstream of the branch duct thereby recirculating part of the exhaust gas. The control valve is provided with a dashpot and push rods, and driven by an accelerator when the engine runs at high load. The dashpot damper a rapid movement of the control valve made by the accelerator.
