  • Patent number: 6287024
Abstract: Temperature control of heaters 8a and 8b for heating a printing original plate 2 is performed with an atmosphere temperature sensor 11, etc., and stably generated heat is shielded by controlling the rotation angles of reflecting plates 9a and 9b. The leading end of the printing original plate 2 is detected by a position detection sensor 26 and the transport speed of the printing original plate 2 is controlled. As the trailing end of the printing original plate 2 is detected, the rotation angles of the reflecting plates 9a and 9b are controlled and the heating amount is controlled in response to the parts of the printing original plate 2. Accordingly, it is possibly to heat the whole printing original plate while preventing uneven heating, when the printing original plate is heated and transported.

  • Patent number: 5882807
Abstract: A jig used for heat treatment made from an SiC-coated silicon carbide material, wherein the SiC film is coated by the CVD method on a silicon carbide matrix in which silicon has been impregnated and wherein there are no pores with a diameter of 2 .mu.m or larger in the outer layer of the matrix within 200 .mu.m from the interface of the SiC film and the silicon carbide matrix when observed by a scanning electron microscope at a magnification of 400 times. The jig is manufactured by producing an SiC film on the surface of a silicon carbide matrix in which silicon has been impregnated by introducing a raw material compound for producing the SiC film and forming the SiC film at a temperature from 1000.degree. C. to 1290.degree. C. under a pressure from 500 to 760 Torr in a non-oxidative atmosphere. The jig exhibits superior resistance to high temperature heating cycles and excellent high thermal shock resistance required for heat treatment in semiconductor manufacturing.

  • Patent number: 5252431
Abstract: A method for preparing a lithographic printing plate not requiring dampening with water comprising the steps of imagewise exposing to light a presensitized plate for use in preparing a lithographic printing plate not requiring dampening with water which comprises a substrate provided thereon with a light-sensitive layer and a silicone rubber layer in that order and then spraying a pressurized liquid on the plate surface to remove the silicone rubber layer of the image areas. The method does not require the use of brush rolls or developing pads which directly come in contact with the plate surface and give rise to wear and/or bending. Therefore, the method always ensures excellent quality and uniformity of development. Further, the method may be carried out repeatedly with less maintenance of equipment since it is not necessary to use any developing pad or brush roll which must frequently be exchanged due to wear or bending.
