  • Patent number: 7490862
Abstract: A hose clamp has an annular clamp body to be fitted on a clamp mounting portion of an end portion of a hose, and the clamp body is configured so as to tighten the clamp mounting portion by diametrically contracting the clamp body. A holding structure of the hose clamp has an anti-rotation engaging portion on the clamp body, an engaging holder portion on the hose, and a deformation restraining mechanism for restraining deformation of the hose when the clamp body tightens the clamp mounting portion. The engaging holder portion engages with the anti-rotation engaging portion in a circumferential direction when the clamp body is fitted on the clamp mounting portion. The deformation restraining mechanism restrains that the anti-rotation engaging portion is pressed against the engaging holder portion and thereby the hose is deformed via the engaging holder portion.

  • Patent number: 7478652
Abstract: A fuel hose has multilayered construction and a flexible corrugated portion with corrugation bottom portions and corrugation peak portions. The fuel hose includes a rubber layer and a resin layer that is a laminated on an inner side of the rubber layer. The resin layer has fuel permeation resistance and serves as a barrier layer. The corrugated portion satisfies a condition of H/W?1.1 when H represents a height of the corrugation measured between an inside of the corrugation bottom portion and an inside of the corrugation peak portion thereof, and 2W represents an axial distance between an inside of the corrugation bottom portion and an inside of an adjacent corrugation bottom portion.

  • Patent number: 7267373
Abstract: On the inner surface of a rubber hose body 12, a laminated hard resin layer 14 is formed to constitute a barrier layer that is impermeable to fluids. A clamping connection is made to hose 10 by a clamping member 24, which clamps the hose body to a companion pipe 18 when the companion pipe is inserted into the hose body. The layer 14 is not laminated over the entire axial length of the hose body but instead leaves an end part exposed. An annular groove is formed at the end 36 of the layer 14 abutting the end part of the hose 10. An elastic impermeable material is placed in the groove which is compressed by the pipe upon insertion. The companion pipe 18 has a protuberance 22 which rests at a position between the end 36 of resin layer 14 and the clamping member so that a seal is formed by elastic compression of the outer surface of companion pipe 18 against the end part of the hose.

  • Patent number: 7231941
Abstract: A hose for transporting a fluid has a tubular hose body, an inner resin layer as a barrier layer having permeation resistance to a fluid transported, and an elastic sealing layer coating in membrane an inner surface of a connecting end portion of the hose. The elastic sealing layer provides a seal between the connecting end portion and the mating pipe by elastic contact with the mating pipe.

  • Patent number: 6712098
Abstract: A straight opposing member insertion section located at the end of a hose tube and has a ring-shaped groove for inserting a sealing ring. The opposing member insertion section has a ring-shaped tongue piece and/or a ring-shaped ring supporting section. Tongue-piece has a sloped surface and an overhang positioned over the ring-shaped groove. Ring supporting section is an indentation on the ring-shaped groove that protrudes away from the end of the hose tube. A sealing ring is tightly inserted into the ring-shaped groove. A ring-shaped engagement projection on the end of the tube-shaped opposing member is pushed into the opposing member insertion section until the engagement projection abuts the sealing ring. Sealing ring and the section of the tube wall with the ring-shaped groove can be constructed to handle seal deterioration. The resulting fuel hose connection structure has superior fuel sealing properties, fuel impermeability and can be contructed simplely and inexpensively.
