    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display, a touchpanel, a memory and a processor. The display displays a shelf label image including a product information item of a product displayed on a display shelf. The touchpanel in or on the display detects a contact position of an object. The processor executes a program stored in the memory, makes a state of the touchpanel from an inactive state to an active state when an external terminal is connected to the display device, detects a type of an action, based on the contact position of the object detected by the touchpanel in the active state, changes the shelf label image displayed on the display in accordance with the type of the action.

Each touch detection electrode includes a first conductive thin wire extending parallel to the first and second surfaces. The dummy electrode includes a second conductive thin wire extending along the first conductive thin wire. The first conductive thin wire includes a first bent portion and a second bent portion alternately arranged with the first conductive thin wire having a zigzag pattern. The second conductive thin wire includes a third bent portion and a slit that are alternately arranged. The third bent portion is arranged on a virtual straight line formed by virtually connecting the first bent portions of one first conductive thin wire.

The sheet resistance of the conductive pattern is not more than 8 ?/square. A ratio of the total sum of areas of portions of the plurality of sub-pixels that overlap the conductive pattern in a plan view to the total sum of the areas of the plurality of sub-pixels is 1 to 22%. A sheet resistance of the conductive layer is higher than the sheet resistance of the conductive pattern.
