  • Patent number: 6014167
Abstract: The invention provides a tracking apparatus and a tracking method by which an imaging object can be set without any special manual operation by a user. An imaged image is supplied to an imaging object setting section via an imaging object processing section. In the imaging object setting section, a motion detection section calculates a difference value between images of successive two frames and detects a motion of an image based on the difference value. Then, a portion of the image from which the motion is detected is set as an imaging object to be tracked.

  • Patent number: 5966690
Abstract: The language is composed using phonemes which is easy to separate in an environment of noise and disturbing sound. An acoustic signal comprising phonemes which is easy to separate in an environment of noise and disturbing sound fed to the acoustic signal analyzer is analyzed therein, and from the result of the analysis, the tone name is recognized in the tone name identifier, and after the tone name is recognized as a prescribed sentence, the sentence is fed to the utterance generator. Corresponding to these operations, the utterance generator generates a prescribed time series composed of tone names comprising phonemes which is easy to separate in an environment of noise and disturbing sound, and inputs it to the acoustic signal generator. The acoustic signal generator synthesizes an acoustic signal which corresponds to the time series and outputs the acoustic signal.

  • Patent number: 5963712
Abstract: A robot apparatus composed of a plurality of component units comprises a first storage unit for storing shape information for determining shapes of the component units, a second storage unit for storing motion information required to describe motions of the component units, a third storage unit for storing characteristic information on electric parts contained in the component parts, and a detector for detecting coupling states of the respective component units. A controller can automatically recognize the entire structure and motion characteristics of the respective component units based on the detection results of the detector. Thus, it is possible to realize a robot apparatus which can be applied to a configuration including two or more separate groups of arbitrary component units combined into a complete assembly, and thus facilitate the architecture of a new form.

  • Patent number: 5574498
Abstract: In a target tracking system being capable of tracking a target object certainly, color change by illumination is absorbed through color judgment from R-Y and B-Y with forecast coefficients, not hue, and is forcibly switched the forecast coefficient of the luminance signal, so that a black and white target can be tracked certainly. Further, the evaluation is performed without the effect from small object in the image, and the center of gravity of the alteration amount is evaluated, so that the position can be detected even when the television camera is moving, and improving the tracking efficiency of target object.

  • Patent number: 5552823
Abstract: In a picture processing apparatus such as a camera, monitor camera, television and the like, an imaging device is controlled to follow a desired target object and image it in the best state. A distribution of motion vectors within a tracking vector detection area is detected, and then the most characteristic motion vector is detected. In a second embodiment a power of components in a high frequency band is detected per unit of predetermined blocks, difference data between picture data of motion pictures of the present frame and the previous frame is obtained, the power of the difference data is detected per unit of predetermined blocks, and an edge having movement is detected on the basis of the detection result.
