Abstract: A subminiature push-button switch has a pivot block provided below a plunger serving as an actuating member, a shaft provided either on the pivot block at its central portion between the left and right sides thereof or on an upstanding projection provided substantially at the center of a switch base, and a depression corresponding to the shaft formed either on the projection or pivot block. The pivot block is placed on the projection, in a state where the shaft and depression are in engagement with each other, so as to be freely rockable from side to side by the plunger. A movable contact attached to the pivot block is rocked from side to side by rocking the pivot block, whereby the movable contact makes and breaks contact with fixed contacts fixedly secured to the switch base.

Abstract: A subminiature switch includes a housing having a base portion in the central part of which is implanted a common stationary contact comprising a rod-shaped conductor and having a common stationary terminal extending outside the housing. Implanted in the base portion on both sides of the common stationary contact are switching stationary contacts each comprising a rod-shaped conductor bent at two locations and having a switching stationary terminal extending outside the housing. The arrangement is such that the inter-terminal spacing outside the housing is greater than the inter-contact spacing inside the housing, thus making it possible to reduce the size of the switch housing and adapt the switch to various mounting structures.

Abstract: A miniature switch has an actuator block operated by a toggle lever and formed to include a recess in one side face thereof, the recess being open at its bottom and on one side and having a retaining portion. The upper part of a movable contactor is provided with an engagement portion loosely fitted into the retaining portion of the actuator block to mount the contactor in the actuator block. The arrangement is such that when the actuator block is covered by a switch housing, the inner wall surface of the housing is situated at the side of the movable contactor to prevent the movable contactor from becoming detached from the actuator block.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a small-sized push-button switch in which a switching operation is made by depressing a push-button to cause a plunger provided at the lower portion of the push-button to move vertically. The switch mechanism provided within the switch comprises a switch base, an upwardly extending arm having its fulcrum on the switch base and being swung about the fulcrum by the plunger, fixed contacts and movable contacts longitudinally or axially provided on the switch base, and a resilient piece bridged between the other end of the arm and the movable end of the movable contact. At least one switch mechanism is inserted into and mounted on a switch body through a switch auxiliary base. The switch mechanism is disposed relative to the plunger so that the operating direction of the plunger is located at right angles to the switch operating directions of the movable contact relative to the fixed contacts.
