  • Publication number: 20130272021
Abstract: A decoration device (6) includes at least one light source (12) emitting light having directivity, a diffusion member (11a) having a diffuse reflective surface for diffusely reflecting light from the light source (12), and a light guide member (13) arranged around the diffusion member at a position anterior to the diffuse reflective surface. The light guide member (13) includes at least one incident surface (13a) facing the at least one light source (12) and an end face (13d) facing the diffusion member of the light guide member (13), wherein the light guide member (13) causes light from the light source (12), the light entering the light guide member (13) through the incident surface (13a), to propagate so as to spread within the light guide member (13), so that the light from the light source (12) exits from an area of the end face (13d), the area being larger than the incident surface (13a), toward the diffuse reflective surface (11a).

  • Patent number: 6769682
Abstract: A device for reversing the direction of motion of a paper sheet has a passage for guiding the paper sheet inside and includes a plurality of rollers each having a specified function. A first roller serves as a driver roller, its rotation causing the paper sheet to be transported into and out of the passage. A second roller is for contacting and rotating with the first roller and thereby transporting the paper sheet in the first direction into the passage. A third roller is disposed on the opposite side of the first roller from the second roller and serves to transport the paper sheet in the second direction out of the passage by contacting and rotating with the first roller. A fourth roller is another driver roller and is disposed in the passage. It allows the front edge of the paper sheet to pass by when it is transported in the first direction by means of the first and second rollers.

  • Patent number: 6726196
Abstract: This invention relates to a sheet post-processing device and an image-forming device. The mechanism that arranges sheets to be a bundle and that discharges the bundle will be reduced in size and cost. A sheet S1 guided by the guide 44 is conveyed to a tray 12 by a discharging roller 21. When the rear end &agr; of the sheet S1 locates on a arranging table 41, the discharging roller 21 rotates in the opposite direction, and the sheet is conveyed until the sheet contacts the stopper 43 of the arranging table 41. The next sheet S2 is conveyed to the tray 12 in the same manner as previous described, however the previous sheet S1 is held on the arranging table by the holding device 51. The sheet S2 contacts the stopper 43 by the reverse rotation of the discharging roller 21 to be arranged on the sheet S1. A bundle of sheets bound by a stapler 60 is discharged to the tray 12 completely by the discharging roller 21.

  • Patent number: 6705603
Abstract: A binding apparatus has a switching flapper 15 switching a feed path for feeding papers to either an upper discharge port or a lower discharge port, a discharge roller 20 provided on the upper discharge port, and a shutter 13, a stapler 14 and a discharge roller 12 provided on the lower discharge port. The discharge roller 12 can feed the papers in a direction opposite to a general paper feed direction, and the shutter 13 stops the papers on a specified position and positions the same when the papers are fed in the opposite direction. The stapler 14 staples the positioned papers. The discharge roller 12 presses the papers against the shutter 13, registers the papers, and discharges the papers in the general paper feed direction after the papers are stapled. Consequently, a miniature paper binding apparatus having a simple structure can be provided.

  • Publication number: 20030116004
Abstract: A hole punch has a punching unit with a rotatable punch for punching a hole through a paper sheet, a die which is rotatable in synchronism with the punch and a paper transporting device for transporting the paper sheet from an upstream side to a downstream side generally in a specified direction of paper transportation. The transporting device includes a paper supplying device and a paper discharging device respectively on the upstream and downstream side of the punching unit for supplying and discharging the paper sheet towards and away from the punching unit. The paper supplying device has a clamping device for clamping the paper sheet at a distance x1 away from the punching position where a hole is punched by the punch. The paper discharging device has another clamping device at a distance x2 away from the punching position. At least one of the distances x1 and x2 is made smaller than the distance of the first hole punched through the paper sheet by the punching unit from the front edge of the paper sheet.

  • Patent number: 6394447
Abstract: A sheet inversion device for inverting a sheet that is fed in and for feeding out the inverted sheet has intermediate rollers, feed-in rollers, feed-out rollers, inversion rollers, and pressing guide members. The feed-in rollers are positioned on one side of the intermediate rollers to feed a sheet. The feed-out rollers are located on the other side of the intermediate rollers to feed the sheet. The inversion rollers are located to the rear in the feed-in direction upon the receipt of the force produced by the advance of a sheet slip across the sheet while rotating in the feed-out direction. The pressing guide members exert, with the inversion rollers, a sheet pressing force to counter the force transmitted by the sheet. In the sheet inversion device, the pressing faces of the pressing guide members have the same arced shape as have the outer circumferential faces of the inversion rollers.
