  • Patent number: 6032013
Abstract: A developing agent supply apparatus capable of preventing a developing agent from staining hands and/or clothes of an operator, the apparatus and around the same by gushing out as dusty smoke when the operator pulls out an empty developing agent container from the apparatus. A developing agent container used in the developing agent supply apparatus includes a projection portion formed in an outer surface thereof which includes a first surface and a second surface. The developing agent supply apparatus includes a first engagement portion formed in an inner peripheral surface of a coupling into which the container is detachable mounted, and a second engagement portion formed in a support portion for guiding the container into or out from the coupling.

  • Patent number: 6026259
Abstract: An erasing device includes a sheet-like erasing member. The erasing member is supported by an electric charger in contact with the image bearing member for erasing a residual electric charge from the image bearing member. Preferably, the erasing member is supported by a supporting member which in turn is supported by the electric charger. Therefore, the erasing member can be disposed relative to the image bearing member with a greater precision without using any additional rigid member. Also, the image bearing member can be erased without any defect, which results in that the image bearing member is uniformly charged in the subsequent charging.

  • Patent number: 5559580
Abstract: In a microfilm reader printer, a photosensitive member which can be charged to be positive and negative. The photosensitive member is charged to be positive in a reverse development mode and charged to be negative in a normal development mode. In the reverse development mode at least right before the reverse development mode is switched to the normal development mode, not only a charge area but also a non-charge area are irradiated by a main eraser. On the other hand, in the normal development mode at least right before the normal development mode is switched to the reverse development mode, only a charge area is irradiated by the main eraser.

  • Patent number: 5160950
Abstract: An image projecting apparatus is disclosed which is provided with a film carrier part for retaining a microfilm, a screen for allowing an image recorded on the film to be projected thereon, and an optical image rotating mechanism disposed in a projected light path extending from a light source to the screen and adapted to rotate the image recorded on the film and consequently allow the image to be projected in a desired posture on the screen. The operator, even when the image on the film is projected in a rotated state, is enabled to move the film in a prescribed direction in accordance with the angle of the rotation of the image produced by the optical image rotating mechanism by keeping an eye on the image projected on the screen and, at the same time, manipulating a key corresponding to the direction in which the image is desired to be observed or to the direction identical to the direction in which the image is desired to be moved.
