  • Publication number: 20020090493
Abstract: In the present invention, a surface 7 of a glass substrate 1 is irradiated with a laser beam 2 to thereby form a V-shaped groove 6. At that time, the laser beam 2 is condensed outside and above the glass substrate 1. The distance between a beam-condensing point 4 of the laser beam 2 and the surface 7 of the glass substrate 1 is changed to thereby make it possible to change the angle between opposite side surfaces of the V-shaped groove. The angle is in a range of from 30 degrees to 120 degrees. Further, the laser beam used in the present invention is pulsed light, preferably with a pulse width not larger than 10 picoseconds.

  • Publication number: 20020015528
Abstract: A class synthesizing circuit classifies an aimed-at data item into one of a plurality of classes specified in advance, according to a plurality of data items disposed around the aimed-at data item. A coefficient holding and class-code selection circuit stores conversion information for the aimed-at data item, for each class. An estimation-prediction calculation circuit converts the aimed-at data item to a higher-quality data item according to the conversion information. The class synthesizing circuit classifies the aimed-at data item into a different class according to whether the aimed-at data item is missing.

  • Patent number: 4667621
Abstract: A system is disclosed for painting components of an automobile more efficiently and more economically. To achieve the efficient production of painted components, the painting system includes parallel input and output main transfer lines and a plurality of sub transfer lines which are located perpendicular to and between the parallel input and output main transfer lines.A plurality of input intersections are formed between the input main transfer line and the sub transfer lines, and a plurality of output intersections are formed between the output main transfer line and the sub transfer lines. Each sub transfer line includes a turntable within a painting booth which is located at a central portion of each sub transfer line and a painting device is located at the side of each turntable.Further, each sub transfer line includes at least an input side waiting position and at least an output side waiting position.

  • Patent number: 4083414
Abstract: A bulldozer assembly has a swivel connection between blade and C-frame for permitting both angling and tilting motions of the former relative to the latter. The swivel connection comprises a swivel block mounted centrally astride the front end of the frame for pivotal or tilting motion relative to same in its lateral direction about a horizontal axis. The swivel block is hingedly jointed to the blade so that the latter may be tilted simultaneously with the block but free to angle relative to same about a normally vertical axis. A tilt cylinder is operatively connected between frame and swivel block, and a pair of laterally spaced angle cylinders between frame and blade.
