Publication number: 20240298958Abstract: A laryngeal elevation measurement device is provided that includes first and second displacement sensors and a control unit. The first displacement sensor is attachable to a neck of a test subject. The second displacement sensor 22 attachable to a site that is part of the neck of the test subject and that is located at a predetermined distance from the first displacement sensor. The control unit acquires the displacement amounts of the first and second displacement sensors. The control unit estimates positional changes of the laryngeal prominence of the test subject based on changes over time in the displacement amount of the first displacement sensor and changes over time in the displacement amount of the second displacement sensor, and the predetermined distance. The control unit outputs a result of estimation.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 29, 2024Publication date: September 12, 2024Inventors: Kenta SUZUKI, Takayoshi OBATA, Tomoki OUCHI, Koji TANAKA

Patent number: 5739763Abstract: In an AV (audio and video) system, it is possible to suppress such a feeling of a user that he has to wait for an actual operation of an AV appliance after an operation instruction has been inputted until the AV appliance is actually operated. Upon receipt of a recording operation instruction of a VTR 3 issued from a remote controller 2, a CPU 12 first turns ON a power supply of the VTR 3. Thereafter, such a message indicating that the inputted instruction corresponds to the recording operation of the VTR 3 is displayed on a CRT 17. When a user inputs an instruction for confirming this message via a remote controller 2, the CPU 12 instructs the VTR 3 to start its recording operation.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 1995Date of Patent: April 14, 1998Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Koji Ouchi, Masaru Sato, Shigeo Tanaka

Patent number: 4570165Abstract: An antenna apparatus has a first wire-like antenna element formed into a rectangular planar loop and a second antenna element which comprises two L-shaped plates electrically connected to the loop and mounted to a rectangular planar base member. The loop is hinged to the planar base member along long sides of the respective rectangles so that the angle between the planes of the loop and base member is adjustable. The base member pivots about an axis on a mount which can be secured to a television receiver.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 1983Date of Patent: February 11, 1986Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Shinobu Tsurumaru, Yoshio Ishigaki, Koji Ouchi, Takashi Yoshikawa, Keiji Fukuzawa, Kazuhiro Imai, Yorimichi Taguchi, Masayoshi Tsuchiya

Patent number: 4338606Abstract: An antenna system is disclosed which has a loop antenna divided into n conductive members at n pairs of divisional points where n is a positive integer not smaller than 2, n feeders connected to the n pairs of divisional points respectively, a signal feeding point, and at least one impedance element. In this case, electrical switching circuits are connected between the n feeders and the impedance element, and an electrical control circuit is connected to the electrical switching circuits for selectively connecting the feeding point to one of the n feeders and at the same time for selectively connecting the impedance element to another of the n feeders, so that the directivity characteristic of the antenna system is variable controlled.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 1979Date of Patent: July 6, 1982Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Masahiro Tada, Yoshio Ishigaki, Koji Ouchi, Koya Nakamichi
