  • Patent number: 6361151
Abstract: An ink jet recording head and a manufacturing method thereof enables no ink electrolysis to be generated, such occurrence of the ink electrolysis is caused by construction or mechanism of respective ink jet recording head using piezoelectric body. Ink channel and dummy channel are formed alternately at the both sides of a side wall of piezoelectric body respectively. There is discharged ink drop while changing volume within the ink channel by applying electric field using electrode formed within respective channels. An electrode formed on respective ink channels is taken as common electrode, while electrodes formed on respective dummy channel are taken as individual electrodes, thus causing no ink to be contacted with a passivation film formed on the individual electrodes.

  • Patent number: 6161926
Abstract: A multinozzle ink jet recording device having a dense arrangement and a method of producing the same are disclosed. Two electrodes for applying a voltage to the side walls of a piezoelectric plate lie in the range of a pressure chamber, so that an electric field is prevented from acting on portions which do not contribute to the ejection of an ink drop. This obviates the waste of voltage and thereby realizes low voltage drive which reduces the size of the pressure chamber. All the grooves serve as pressure chambers without any slit or similar wasteful space intervening between them. Thus the multinozzle print head has a dense configuration. With such a print head, the recording device achieves a miniature and compact arrangement.

  • Patent number: 6106106
Abstract: An ink jet recording head has a plurality of ink channels, disposed on a piezoelectric substrate, for receiving liquid ink therein, a plurality of dummy channels arranged alternately with the ink channels on the substrate, a top plate for covering the ink channels and dummy channels, and a nozzle plate defining the front end of the channels and having a nozzle for each of the ink channels for ink ejection. The dummy channels have a depth larger than the depth the ink channel, and the top plate has a slit extending along each of the dummy channels, for reducing cross-talks between adjacent ink channels.

  • Patent number: 5842776
Abstract: A vehicle lamp device comprises a lighting chamber (14) defined by a housing (11) and a lens (12). A holding tube portion (11c) having a through hole (11b) is formed in a rear wall (11a) of the housing (11). An air pipe (15) is engaged with the holding tube portion (11c) through which the lighting chamber (14) is connected to the outside. An air hole (15c) is formed in the midway of the air pipe (15) in addition to an end opening (15a). A covering portion (11d) is formed as a holding portion in the rear wall (11a) for covering the air hole (15c) from above and for holding the air pipe (15).
