The cart POS includes a storage section configured to store commodities, a second biological sensor configured to read the bioinformatics data of the person, a first storing unit configured to store, in a storing unit, the bioinformatics data of the person, a reception determining unit configured to determine reception of the commodity code and the bioinformatics data, a second sensor configured to detect that a commodity is stored in the storage section, and a registration processing unit configured to execute registration processing.

When the power from the external power source stops, the controller stores data in a volatile memory in a non-volatile memory using power supplied from the battery.
