  • Publication number: 20100182537
Abstract: The present invention is directed to provide a convenient information processing apparatus capable of easily switching the view angle of a display device and an output of an illuminating device of the information processing apparatus in accordance with a using state and a user request. An information processing apparatus including a liquid crystal display device 4 and an illuminating device 5 for illuminating the liquid crystal display device 4 from the rear side includes: transmission state varying means 6 for varying a transmission state of light from the illuminating device 5, the transmission state varying means being interposed between the liquid crystal display device 4 and the illuminating device 5; and view angle control means 7 for changing view angle of the liquid crystal display device 4 by controlling the transmission state varying means 6 when the illuminating device 5 is in a light-on state.

  • Patent number: 6208391
Abstract: An LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) device with a built-in electroluminescent body of the present invention includes a liquid crystal cell having an upper LCD substrate, a lower LCD substrate, and a liquid crystal layer formed between the upper LCD substrate and the lower LCD substrate by the injection of liquid crystal. An upper polarizer and a lower polarizer are respectively positioned on the top and the bottom of the liquid crystal cell. The electroluminescent body is arranged on the lower polarizer in the form of wirings for implementing back illumination. Dust and other impurities are prevented from penetrating the gap between an LCD and an EL (Electroluminescent Lamp) at the time of production. The lower polarizer plays the role of an EL substrate at the same time and thereby eliminates the need for an EL substrate and an affixing material. The LCD device can be produced by a minimum of steps.

  • Patent number: 5909194
Abstract: The antenna for a radio equipment includes a base portion boot made of a flexible material and secured to an edge of an opening of a support hole in a radio equipment body such that it partially extends outwardly over a predetermined length from the radio equipment body. A flexible pipe is integrally coated on an outer periphery of a portion of a linear antenna element which is positioned in a through-hole of the base portion boot when the linear antenna element is at its retracted position in the radio equipment body.

  • Patent number: 5896762
Abstract: A theft preventing device comprises: a lock unit 11; and a coupling member 12 having both terminals 12a and 12b which are connected to the lock unit 11, at least one of the terminals being separable from the lock unit. In the device, the inside of the coupling member 12 is filled with a fluid including adhesive material, so that, when the coupling member 12 is damaged, the fluid is splashed out of the coupling member 12 whereby the adhesive material is stuck onto an object or objects around the device. Hence, from detection of the adhesive material, it can be determined who has broken it, and it can be confirmed that the lock unit has been locked.

  • Patent number: 5681176
Abstract: A hinge connector includes a pair of tubular members. Each of the tubular members has a tubular section formed with a hollow portion, and a fitting section formed with a receiving space for receiving a counterpart connector. The tubular members are coupled with each other so as to be turnable relative to each other. The hinge connector further includes a flexible conductor. The flexible conductor has connect portions at its both ends and a flexible intermediate portion connecting the connect portions. The flexible intermediate portion of the conductor is turned and arranged in the hollow portions of the tubular sections, while the connect portions thereof are disposed in the corresponding receiving spaces of the fitting sections so as to be connected to the corresponding counterpart connectors, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5010226
Abstract: An automatic seam welding apparatus for fuel tanks comprises a jig for holding two workpieces disposed one above the other to form a fuel tank, a pair of roller electrodes vertically arranged for nipping and welding the overlapping peripheral flange portion of the workpieces, and a robot assembly rotatably supporting the jig and controlling the horizontal and vertical positions and the inclination of the jig held workpieces relative to the electrodes for welding peripheral flange portions that are irregular with high quality welds. The jig is easily detachable from the robot to permit many different shaped tanks to be welded by the same apparatus.
