  • Patent number: 9497670
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for mobility management of a mobile station that can efficiently avoid interruption of services to the mobile station, without imposing loads on a network and the mobile station, are provided. Upon change of serving cell, a mobile station receives a neighbor list from a new serving cell and stores it in a neighbor list (NL-NW). Upon cell selection, the mobile station associates the new serving cell with the previous serving cell and stores information about this association in a neighbor list (NL-A). Upon detection of deterioration in the quality of the current serving cell, the mobile station measures the quality of each cell on the neighbor list (NL-NW) and the neighbor list (NL-A). Upon detection of a cell that is better than the current serving cell, the mobile station reselects this detected better cell as its new serving cell.

  • Patent number: 9414320
Abstract: To provide appropriate communication quality between a radio station (e.g., small-scale base station) and a mobile station in a state where the radio station is located within a large-scale cell and communicates with the mobile station while reducing interference exerted on the large-scale cell by communication between the radio station and the mobile station regardless of the place of the radio station within the large-scale cell. A femto base station 4 sets a target received power RTWP_target of uplink data used for controlling transmission power of uplink data transmission from a mobile station on an uplink based on a measurement result of received power Pmacro of a pilot signal transmitted from a macro base station 3. Specifically, the target received power RTWP_target is preferably set to a larger value as the received power Pmacro of the pilot signal becomes smaller.

  • Publication number: 20160227587
Abstract: To solve a problem that unless all of a plurality of AICH signature states are correctly decoded, the contents of reception results cannot be recognized and the error rate of signature decoding will be high. In this embodiment, a base station uses, out of a signature combination, the signature of at least one predetermined position to indicate information containing a preamble reception result and uses the signature of a position other than the predetermined position to indicate a transmission profile information number of an uplink channel for notification to a user equipment. Thus, the error rate related to reception results can be reduced as compared with the case where a single signature combination is used to notify all pieces of information.

  • Patent number: 9313750
Abstract: A frequency management method and device as well as a wireless system are provided by which acceptable transmit power is efficiently determined for transmitting stations in a system on the interfering side, neither with concentration of processing load on some part nor with redundant processing. • Patent number: 9282544
Abstract: A communication control method is provided which improves a wireless resource usage rate, is available to recognize a variation in wireless resource state in advance, and is available to control communication in accordance with the variation in a mobile communication system in which an MBMS and an HSDPA coexist and the same wireless resource is shared and used. A MAC-m transmits information related to a wireless resource used on an MBMS transport channel at a transmission timing of a base station to a MAC-hs before the transmission timing. The MAC-hs receives the information related to the wireless resource of the MBMS transport channel from the MAC-m. The MAC-hs calculates a wireless resource which can be used applied to data of a HSDPA transport channel at the transmission timing with using the information related to the wireless resource of the MBMS transport channel and a wireless resource to which the HSDPA transport channel is allocated.

  • Patent number: 9237494
Abstract: A method of controlling handover of a mobile station (5) from a first cell (61) to a second cell (62) includes adjusting a handover parameter so that, when radio quality of the first cell (61) at a position of a mobile station (5) is a first level, lag time from when a handover initiation condition is satisfied to when the handover is initiated is shorter than when the radio quality of the first cell is a second level that is higher than the first level. As a result, for example in HCS (HetNet), handover failures and ping-pong/rapid handovers can be reduced, and a mobile station expected to stay in a small-scale cell for at least a certain period of time can be efficiently accommodated in a small-scale cell.
