  • Patent number: 10023013
Abstract: Provided is a tire and a tire surface printing method which are capable of reducing man-hours and cost required for application of printing on the tire surface. The tire and the tire surface printing method include, on an outer surface of at least one of side portions (3) thereof, a printed region (5) formed by printing. The printed region (5) includes: a dark-colored portion (7) having a black color, which is a base color of the tire; and a bright-colored portion (9) that has a color different from the black color and that is located to surround the dark-colored portion (7). The dark-colored portion (7) is not applied with any paint, and the bright-colored portion (9) includes a white-colored layer (11) that includes a white color paint and that is located as the lowermost layer being in contact at least with the outer surface (3a) of the side portion (3).

  • Patent number: 9415638
Abstract: Provided is a decorative tire in which an ink composition including a colorant is directly applied onto the tire surface in order to improve the degree of flexibility in design. This decorative tire has a decorative printed layer formed on the tire surface, the decorative printed layer being a cured film of an active-energy-ray-curable ink composition including a colorant. The ink composition includes a monofunctional monomer having a glass transition point of ?30° C. or lower, and a polyfunctional monomer having a glass transition point of 0° C. or lower. Preferably, the ink composition further includes a monofunctional monomer having an alicyclic structure with a glass transition point between 0-110° C. inclusive. Preferably, a surface protection layer that protects the surface of the decorative printed layer is formed on the surface of the decorative printed layer. Also, preferably, a primer layer is formed between the tire surface and the decorative printed layer.

  • Publication number: 20140352864
Abstract: A pneumatic tire, comprising: a pair of bead portions each having a bead core embedded therein; a pair of sidewall portions respectively extending on the outer side in the tire radial direction from the pair of bead portions; and a tread portion extending across the respective sidewall portions, is characterized in that: the tire further comprises a ring-shaped decorative portion provided on a side portion including the bead portion and the corresponding sidewall portion, wherein the ring-shaped decorative portion has at least two decorative elements provided in the tire circumferential direction such that average brightness and/or average hue is different between the decorative elements, and the average brightness of each decorative element is at least 20%.

  • Patent number: 7665290
Abstract: A compact twister and a method for producing a twisted wire that can efficiently produce a short twisted wire that satisfies performance requirements, as well as a ply and a pneumatic tire twisted using the twister or the method for producing a twisted wire, are provided. The twister includes a rotating body for twisting plural filament wires that are fed thereto to form a cord and for applying a feeding force to the cord. The rotating body includes a feeding mechanism within a housing, and the cord is discharged from the rotating body by the feeding mechanism. The twister carries out twisting operation with one of a cord side of a twisting point or a filament wire side of the twisting point being free. Thus, a compact twister, that can form a cord with excellent rotating property and straightness, is accomplished.

  • Publication number: 20090057479
Abstract: The present invention provides a bobbin fixing device capable of fixing a bobbin easily with a simple structure and also provides a bobbin removing device capable of removing a bobbin readily with a simple structure. Stoppers 35 project from the level of the outer surface of a rotating shaft 23. Sloping surface of each stopper 35 is pressed by a bobbin 10, so that the stopper is moved to an inner position P2. The bobbin 10 is attached so as to position on a positioning member 25. When the bobbin 10 is brought into contact with the positioning member 25, each support 34B upwardly moves together with a release button 32 biased by a spring 33, so that one end of each arm 34A on the associated support 34B moves upward and the other end thereof close to the associated stopper 35 moves downward. Thus, each stopper 35 outwardly moves and projects until a restricting face 35C of the stopper 35 is brought into contact with the bobbin 10.
