Abstract: A device for securing sheet materials to a surface includes main body having a side wall which connects top and bottom surfaces and a channel which extends along a central portion of the top surface, a member which operatively connects in the channel and moves relative to the channel. The bottom surface flushly engages the surface when the main body is secured thereto, a projection extends from a portion of the side wall outward and at an angle to the side wall, the projection having a free end which is normally disposed at a level which is different from a level of the bottom surface so that when the main body is attached to the surface a gap is defined between the free end and the surface. When the main body is fastened to the surface and the member is moved relative to the channel the side wall is also moved and changes a width of the gap.

Abstract: A wind turbine includes a rotor rotatably mounted to a vertically disposed shaft. A plurality of circumferentially spaced elongated mounting arms extends radially from the rotor. A corresponding plurality of elongated generally planar sails extends along and is pivotally connected to the elongated arms. Sails are balancingly mounted on the arms and rest in a rest position generally at a 45° angle relative to a horizontal disposition when not acted upon by wind or rotor rotation. As the sails drive the rotor, the balanced sails move effortlessly into and out of alignment with the direction of current flow of the wind.
