  • Publication number: 20230055526
Abstract: In some examples, the disclosure describes a printing device that includes a processor resource, and a non-transitory memory resource storing machine-readable instructions stored thereon that, when executed, cause the processor resource to: detect a slippage probability for a pick roller of a print medium to be utilized for a print job of the printing device, determine a speed of the pick roller based on the slippage probability, and instruct the pick roller to be activated at the speed to pick the print medium and move the print medium to a turn roller.

  • Patent number: 8348256
Abstract: A printer includes multiple gear trains, each gear train to pick paper. The printer also includes a print media sensor to detect the presence of print media along a paper path, a user input control, and control logic coupled to the print media sensor and the user input control. Based upon receiving multiple signals from the user input control to resume printing, each such signal following an indication from the print media sensor that paper has not been picked, the control logic to cause a change-over to occur from one gear train to another gear train.

  • Patent number: 7753607
Abstract: A removable media input tray for holding a stack of media sheets is provided. The input tray is configured so that it can be fitted into a chassis of a printing apparatus. The input tray includes a reference guide wall and at least two datum members movably attached to the reference guide wall. The reference side wall is formed with at least two openings through which portions of the datum members extend. The input tray also includes a width adjuster, which is configured to bias the stack of media sheets against the datum members. The datum members are brought into contact with a side wall of the chassis when the input tray is inserted into the chassis, thereby causing the datum members to be aligned to the same side wall.
