Abstract: The invention relates to an image reading apparatus and to a method of controlling this apparatus. The image reading apparatus acquires a profile capable of being set as processing applied to image data in an information processing device, re-classifies, for the purpose of display on the image reading apparatus, the name of the acquired profile and the settings of the profile, converts this profile name and the settings to items displayed on a display unit of the image reading apparatus, and displays the items on the display unit. The information of a profile selected based upon an item displayed on the display unit is transmitted to the information processing device, and the image data generated by the image reading apparatus is transmitted to the information processing device in response to a request from the information processing device.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus that is capable of avoiding a mistake of transmitting a scan image read by pseudo-push scanning method to a wrong transmitting destination. A display unit displays a selection screen on which a scan setting and a transmitting destination of the scan image are selected. A first transmission unit transmits the selected information and a transmitting request of reading-start-instruction information about the image. A reading unit reads an image of an original upon receiving the transmitted reading-start-instruction information. A second transmission unit transmits the read scan image. When the scan image is transmitted from the information processing apparatus to the other device and stored, the storage destination information about the scan image includes information about the information processing apparatus and another device. In that case, the display unit displays the information processing apparatus and the other device as the transmitting destination.

Abstract: A management apparatus which manages plural information processors, manages information indicating at least one of the information processors, belonging to a first group and at least one of the information processors, belonging to a second group; stores first and second schedule information respectively corresponding to the first and second groups, each schedule information indicating a schedule of a power mode to be set on each information processor belonging to the corresponding group; instructs to change over the power mode based on the first or second schedule information; determines, if the power mode indicated by the first schedule information is different from that indicated by the second schedule information, which of the power modes is to be set with priority; and controls so that the power mode determined to be set with priority is set on the information processor belonging to both the first group and the second group.
